Remember when people said that one of Ole's greatest strengths is that he trusts youth?

Yesterday the average age of the starting 11 was 28. Promising young players like Rashford, Greenwood, Sanchez, and VDB sat on the bench with no clear role in the latest formation experiment.

Ole is building nothing for the future, he's hoping that older players can save his job on a week by week basis. The Spurs result is a hollow victory and just buys a bit more time for Ole to take the club further away from a better future.

Top post!

When you have Ole has a manager and Oompa loompa as a captain then you know we are in a mess.

Sancho isn't that good or atleast not at the moment and we only bought him because he's english and was scared he would go elsewhere.

On a side note, I thought AWB had one of his better attacking games yesterday.

The sooner he goes the better.
Youth development has been non existent for an year under Ole.
Players like Elanga had a fantastic pre-season but are now hardly making the squad.

Ole is ruining the United DNA.

Usually I'd be excited after any kind of win, but seeing Ole at the helm playing that same group of 8-9 players and winning by 1-2 brilliant moments doesn't make me excited one bit.
I want him gone now, he's not going to take us anywhere.

His whole tenure has been built on him talking absoulute pony. There have been plenty of posters regurgitating what he says so it's worked to some extent.

Like you say, he talks about youth but has done no more than his predecessors. When he took over he said "No team will outrun us" we're 20th in the table for distance covered. He talks about "the United way" and "United DNA" yet we play a worse brand of football than what LVG was pillared for. He's as defensive as Jose yet hasn't a clue how to actually organise a defence.

He talks like a man who bluffed his way into a job and hasn't a clue how to do it. He's a fraud of the highest order.

One can only hope that his stay of execution is so we can get the proper man in to replace him.

He said himself it was the oldest team he has fielded in his time at the club. He is on his last legs so i'm not going to pounce on his every negative action, he will be gone before long.

He hasn't really given youth a chance, he is all talk . the Utd way, DNA, attacking football blah blah blah he has taken the easy cowardly way out every time.

He is anti the 'united way' loves the club my arse he is dragging it back 40 years.
Personally I'd ban him for life after his sacking I wouldn't let him near the place.

I'm surprised Matic didn't play from the start.

If matic played instead of mctominay yesterday it would have been the first time in decades an academy graduate didn't start.

I'm not sure that's true.
Russet
They have had a graduate in every match day squad but not always starting.

There are atleast 7-8 players and the complete ole and his backroom staff that need to be booted out.

If I could have things my way, Maguire, Martial, Pogba, Mata, Lingard, McTominay or Fred, Henderson, Phil Jones would be sold off and reinvested in places that need reinvestment. Like a defensive midfielder, maybe 2, and another CB.

I agree with most of the players above but why does Lingard need to sold off?
Lingard went away worked his arse off and had a fantastic second half of season with West Ham.
He's come back in top form and Ole hasn't given him a chance.
Ole is a disgrace and a complete fraud.

Ole is fighting to save his job. While I'd imagine the 70 year old combined strike force of Ronaldo and Cavani probably bumped up the average age by a year or two.

Very few managers will throw a youngster in when their backs to the wall.

Another reason to end Ole's tenure sooner rather than later.
