Best moment of the match on Saturday for me was when Lammens went up to catch a cross. He got a cheer as load as for a goal.
When you consider that for 2 1/ 2 seasons now we have had virtually no goal keeper.
Too early to say if he is the answer but he has fit to be better than the last couple.
He will have a much tougher day at andield.
2 clean sheets on his 1st 2 games would be some start?.

I agree Ken, and I also think we will see more composed defending by the defence knowing they have a GK behind them they can trust. I also liked the fact that he didn't mess about trying to play out from the back, he laced it when needed. Whether this was a deliberate tactic for Sesko to get flick ons I don't know but again it just removed unnecessary pressure on the defence. I'm gutted there's an international break now with Liverpool being out of sorts.

Not only that Ken, but he was a lot more vocal than the other 2. Organising defenders and shouting instructions. Had one head loss when he came out and missed the ball but other than that he look composed. Bigger tests ahead but positive start.

Bayindir or Onana could be called Dracula the amount they are scared of crosses.
Its nice to have a keeper that can come and claim one without either getting bullied or clattering into the player and conceding a penalty. Who knew watching someone do the basics right could be so exciting.

Agree Ken, all basic stuff that we should not be worried about in a goalkeeper but we have had to worry about for the past few years.
Hopefully it contiunes and it will breed confidence for the defence which will help them improve.

Lammens looked really composed and assured. Pretty great for a 22 year old making his debut for the world's biggest football club.
Yoro 19, Heaven 19, De Ligt 26. These 4 could be a settled back unit for many years to come.
I do think in time Yoro might move to the centre of the three and de Ligt to the right.
Also good to see Utd now have a striker who can score. Two in two games.

MancMan, I really like Sesko, and I'm really glad we signed him. He clearly has all the attributes, and I reckon he will become a seriously good centre forward. But it is very early days. He has scored 2 in 2 games, but he also has 2 in 8 games. In his first season at United, once he got off the mark, Hojlund scored 6 in 6 games in the league. Interestingly, Hojlund now has 4 in 6 games for Napoli. I wonder if there is any way United can keep him next season and rotate him Sesko. I would certainly prefer Sesko plus Hojlund with a great season in Italy under his belt over Sesko and Zirkzee.

Lets not forget Gilly, you say 2 in 8 games but about half those games he only appeared as a late sub. I believe his total minutes played are only about 390 so it represents just over 4 full games.
Furthermore, having missed preseason training his fitness levels were clearly below the required levels.
He will, of course, succeed or fail in his role as striker partly based on the level of service he receives from his teammates. On Saturday, particularly first half, he looked good having received a good level of service. It was quite clear that Lammens had been instructed to play the ball long and not play out to the back all the time.
I totally agree with your Hojlund comments, would like to see him return. I did post a couple of times in the summer stating I did not want to see him sold as the service he had received was dreadful and essentially non existent. I think he was totally let down and scapegoated. Two decent strikers would most certainly be beneficial.
