Augustin Rodriguez has said this

"I think Iker Casillas is going to go, genuinely. And Cristiano, too. I'm certain on that.
"We'll see in the news that comes out next Wednesday."

Could he be coming home? Any eds know of any truth in this? Thanks!

I'm as big a fan of Ronaldo as anyone but it wouldn't be a good move to re-sign him. 300k a week, a massive transfer fee would be needed and he has a problem with his knee which isn't good in a physically demanding Premier League. He now plays pretty much as a centre forward as well. He's a lot different to the player we sold in 2009 and while everyone loves the memory of Ronaldo running at defenders and leaving them for dead, he doesn't do that anywhere near as much now.

I'd take Ronaldo in a heartbeat, how can you say no to him. We will the premier league title for next few years as well as winning the champions league within the next 3 years with ronaldo .

13 May 2015 09:29:29
If was available to sign him may end up being a mistake but to pass on him may be an even bigger mistake. He bangs in goals every week and we are crying out for a complete CF. Who is more compete than him?

13 May 2015 10:02:03
I'd have had him back a couple of years ago.

My issue now would be that Ronaldo is all about Ronaldo and that 4th Ballon D'or. Could you see him passing like Suarez did last night, taking the better option?

Thanks but no thanks for me.

if he comes available its a no brainer,

plus with the likelyhood of falcao and rvp going, as jmb has said we are in need of a complete CF,

rj - I've seen plenty of games where ronaldo runs at players, and he's prob the most athletically fit player in the world, his so called bad knee hasn't given him any major problems, when was the last time he was injured because of his knee?

13 May 2015 10:33:29
Lot of fans will go with their heart instead of their head on this for me I would love him back but not at the expense of other players. There's more important areas we need to strengthen

13 May 2015 10:39:45
Absolutely no brainer if he were to be available. He is a goal machine.

Forget about the money, it's not coming out of our pockets. Just tends to over complicate things. I know it's been done to death but if he were available everything should be done to re sign him.

13 May 2015 10:43:17
He is exactly what we need and lack a striker who runs behind the defence. Haven't we all been crying out for pace in our side rvp, falcao and rooney all come deep for the ball which is why we struggle to stetch teams Ronaldo would be the best possible signing. Not only that but what a statement of intent and would surely draw other freatpkayets to the club wanting to play with one of the greatest gootballers in the history of the game

13 May 2015 10:54:15
Spb, I thought it was reasonably well known that he has a problem with his knee. As it stands he is still one of the two best players in the world but for the money involved I wouldn't go for him. Real would look for as much as possible if selling him so we would be looking at upwards of £60 million which in my opinion could be better spent on other areas of our side.

Plus if we're going to throw that sort of money at one player it should be Pogba. Not that he is going to be coming back either.

13 May 2015 15:02:31
No matter what some may say, you would have to get him, IF the price is right. He and Messi are on another level, so to say no to either at the right price would make no sense, no matter what his age is or if he fancies himself a little too much.

13 May 2015 15:25:09
The difference between Ronaldo and Messi is that as Messi gets older he'll drop deeper and still score and create goals. With his pace and ability to take people on Ronaldo's level will drop considerably and given his ego hr will not deal with it very well when players start to catch up/overtake him. Without doubt, I would rather take Bale than Ronaldo.

13 May 2015 15:37:26
Why does he need another pay rise and using us again

13 May 2015 15:54:22
To say no to the chance would be stupid and Ronaldo still has many years at the top as a number 9 not all number nines require raw pace

13 May 2015 16:01:50
I disagree Prodigal, for me Bale is the player who will decline most as he gets older, as he is all about raw pace. Ronaldo has a lot more to his game than Bale, and will be a top number 9 well into his mid 30's, barring any major injuries. A guy who can score the amount of goals that Ronaldo does, you cannot ignore.

13 May 2015 22:49:20
Bring back ronnie we need a striker who scores Over 40 goals a season.

14 May 2015 10:51:36
I don't think it matters what you buy Ronaldo for. He would generate so much money for the club anyway. Don't know if it was correct, but I read that Real Madrid got 'half their money back' after a couple of months after selling kits with his name on it?

14 May 2015 12:37:25
For god sake. let it go!!!!!!!!

14 May 2015 15:33:49
Brendan, I agree with oyu saying Bale will decline worse than Ronaldo, but that decline won't be for at least another 4-5 years, whereas Ronaldo could decline from next season.
