So against Newcastle we will have no Tony and no Cavani. What do we think will be the front 3? I wouldn't mind a 3 of Rash, mata and Greenwood but my gut tells me ole will revert to type and play a back 5 with rash, James and Greenwood. Surely pogba will be dropped for Donny too?

If we play with 3/ 5 defenders it will be 3-4-1-2/ 5-2-1-2,Bruno behind Marcus and Mason.

I think he's got to revert to a back three. He must reinforce our leaking defence and I think we have enough quality going forward to score goals. I'd also inject some energy, mobility and intensity into the midfield.

Rashford and Greenwood should still pose a a significant threat upfront and bring a nice balance to the team as split strikers.

I'd play 3-4-1-2 -

De Gea, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Telles, AWB, Fred, VdB, Fernandes, Rashford, Greenwood

I have a feeling Ole will stick to a 4-2-3-1 with Rashford moving upfront and VdB playing from the left. I'm not convinced Telles will start but we'll see.

Lots of people suggesting a formation with wing backs, but nobody's considering the fact we don't have anyone suited to play right wing back. There's no way AWB is suited to the role, he doesn't have the end product or the engine.

I'd go with a similar set up to DLIB, although I would make two minor changes. I'd drop Maguire out as I don't think his head is in the right place at the moment and to keep playing will only intensify the pressure on him for every mistake he makes. Probably start Bailly or Tuanzebe in his place, or even push Lindelof to central of the back three and play TFM at RCB as he has the pace to deal with Saint-Maximin who'll be cutting in from that side.

The other change I would make would be to play DvdB at No.10 rather than Bruno and drop Bruno further back deeper into midfield. I think Bruno would be better off playing slightly deeper, while Donny's movement around the box and link up play is excellent.

The option is there to play Rashford and Greenwood up top with Bruno, VDB, Pogba and Matic behind. It will be interesting to see what Ole goes with.

I would play 4-4-2 diamond with De Gea Bailly Lindelof Telles Williams. Then Matic in front of them with Maktominay and Bruno in front of him, Bruno at the right to help Williams at attacks and Scott at left to help Telles defencively and be the engine of the team. Vdb behind Rashford and Greenwood to link with them. I think that's a team with balance energy and pace.
At this time i would try to make the team more compact and protect the defence using a lot of midfielders to take the possession and take the pressure out of the defence. Some wins are necessary even with an ugly way, although i don't think it would be ugly at all.

AWB isn't good enough going forward to play RWB, so why not put him on the right of a back 3?

Williams or James could play RWB, Telles LWB.
