Fergie is the GOAT but I'm conflicted about his comment getting out. One part of me thinks he's right and his frustration must be boiling over looking at some of this dross lately (actually since he left LOL) . The other is a moral thing where he's had his time at united and should not be seen at nearly every game. Of course a winning manager would dispell him to history and of course there's the Glazers who are parasites. Sir Alex is probably the only one at the place I actually trust. hence my conflict.

SAF is I believe a football Board/ board member is he not? A Board member is clearly at odds with the decision of the manager. Whatever you think of the situation, that is now an issue. It also gives an insight that there is not full unequivocal support for everything Ole is doing. Maybe it is only one decision, maybe it is nothing to do with SAF, and will be up to the Football Director, yet SAFs comment hits home pretty well at Ole’s decision on Saturday.

I think Fergie goes to as many games as possible because this ambassadorial role used to be done by Bobby, but since his diagnosis I don't think he is unable to attend matches as he once did.

SAF is the football board member who brought us Moyes as manager, you can be damn sure he was behind the decision to bring in Solskjaer as manager originally and also had a big say in giving him the permanent contract, so perhaps his judgement in these things is'nt flawless

Perhaps part of the reason he wanted the likes of Moyes and Ole was because they would be deferential to him and he would still maintain control in a way

Also SAF would have been the first to say, in his many books lectures and interviews about the art of management, how important it was to back the manager in public etc. and yet here he is hanging the Man Utd manager out to dry in public because OLE had the cheek to not start Fergie's favourite boy in a match .

That's world class hypocrisy from Fergie if you ask me.

Dodgy, exactly. People don't seem to be able to grasp the concept of someone disagreeing with something someone does and still support them.

None of them obviously have children who make decisions that they disagree with. Because if they did I'd find it very disappointing if they would no longer support their child because of that.

You disagreed and thought he'd be gone much sooner. Saying that the walls were closing in on him and you thought he'd go in Oct/ Nov.

I've gone with my later date of Christmas rather than your earlier one of November.
