With the rumours of a deal being agreed for Maguire circulating, I do see people having different opinions on him as a player. I feel it might just work for us.

He is certainly not the best among the lot and has deficiencies in his game, but there are a few reasons for which I do not mind him in the team.

1. We have missed a physical presence in our defense for some time and he would provide us that.
2. He is a threat in the opposition box from set pieces and corners which is good to have.
3. He has PL experience and doesn't need time to settle down.
4. At 26, he would bring in some stability for a couple of years and would give time for Tuanzebe to gain some experience and help integrate him slowly into the first team

I believe both him and Lindelof could make up for each other's weaknesses and can form a solid partnership at the back.

Agree with that LPU. Solid in the air, a de Gea weakness. Hopefully will instil some much needed confidence at the back and see a return to form for Dave the Save next season. Maguire should score a couple of goals if somebody can get the corner kick past the first man at a headable height.
The starting back four has potential, hopefully play a bit higher up the pitch and press more.
Crazy money if what's reported is true though. Nowhere near VvD's level.

His distinct lack of pace worries me. Especially if he gets caught out playing from the back.

Mad hatter how many goals did he cost Leicester doing that? I can only think of once in 3 years.

He will be a good signing. Good in air, composed on the ball, can pick a pass, and plays mostly. On left of defense. Him and Baily should be good partners, complimenting each other's qualities.

He's not rapid by any means, but mind you he is sort of deceptive with his long strides and can cover ground quick enough. He also has a good engine on him and has shown his physicality and determination to make it tough for anyone trying to get past him and that should make up to some extent for his lack of serious pace. One thing he should have to work on would be his positioning against pacier forwards and he should be fine.

Ken,

Because he plays for Leicester misplaced passes etc don't get highlighted as much. Always mentions his good performances or that Leicester are a team that aren't as good as their opponents, so they, the press etc so say well what do you expect with a difference I quality etc.

Good post LPU. He also seems pretty level headed, he should be a good influence on others, maybe even future captain material as he is vocal and organises others well.

He is under more defencive scrutiny there mad hatter.
I know he has a few flaws but he brings good attributes too. In areas we are lacking.
Prices are crazy i mean dunk for 45m its nuts.
Dias is for sale nobody has met the price. Why is that? Same for manolas same for milinkovic.
