Afternoon Ed,
Re: January signings, could we see a player such as Gakpo signed with Rashford taking on the no9 role with Martial for the rest of the season? I'm not sure whether can play the no9 role but at £50m (ish) could fall inside the Jan budget etc.

I think Gakpo could be turned in to a No.9.
He's a big lad, 6 foot 3 and will probably fill out if he comes to the premier league.

There are only two times Shaw looks good for United.

1. When he has 18 months left on his deal and has to start playing well to earn a new contract.

2. For around 6 months after we sign a new LB to take his place. He pulls his socks up and puts a shift in to win back his place. Then starts to coast as soon as he thinks he's nailed down his starting spot again.

Nit sure he will get away with that anymore shappy. He has a really good young guy coming up and ETH is not one who will let him away with it.
