Rumours coming out to the effect that Grimsby fielded an illegible player in our Carabao cup tie and might be forced to replay the match. Personally I think that would be a travesty as I believe they thoroughly deserved the win.

Looks like just a fine for them. The player came on as as sub and was registered 2 minutes after the deadline. Would have been very harsh on them to have to replay.

Grimsby reported themselves to the EFL once they found the error. Man Utd will not appeal the 20k fine and are not seeking a rematch.
