So Chido Obi-Martin scored a hatrick 14 minutes into his debut for the under 18s.

While I agree that we need to give him time to settle and shouldn't be throwing him in at the deep end with results and performances being as bad as they are, there's a part of me that can't wait to see the lad turn out for the senior side.

His hattrick almost fell into his lap with some pretty ropey defending. He does look a good player though, big lad who presses and looks quick. His size will not be a problem for getting a chance in the right game later this year, but I would expect him to be be eased in very carefully.

Some start for him. He is obviously above u18 in sure he will progress to the 21s and maybe get some chances next pre season.

Chances always fall in the lap of great strikers, that’s not a coincidence. Also we had 4 or 5 great chances fall into our laps first half today and didn’t score so maybe someone who can do that would be helpful.

Yep, fair point gds. He also snat he'd at an easy chance and put it wide. Not trying to pit the guy down, I think he is an exciting prospect by all accounts. Tumble is probably right. Up to U21s this year and then pre season next summer.

A dishcloth could have finished better than we did today, so maybe we will see him sooner.

Some really promising players in the Under 18s, seem much better than everyone else in the league.
