So despite being linked with Olise pretty extensively, we obviously aren't likely to sign a wide forward this summer. Perhaps understandably too, given that we have numbers in those positions, whilst we were lacking at centre back, we were lacking at centre forward, and we are still lacking in the engine room, though Ugarte will ease those concerns.

With that said, I think it is almost certain that we will look to sign one or two players next summer for the flanks, given that there are at least a couple that will hopefully have departed.

But who could we watching over the next year with a view to signing next summer, perhaps the Eds can shine some light?

At this moment in time I don't think there are that many really top class young forwards that aren't already at top clubs, especially given Olise has joined Bayern. Perhaps we might look at Anthony Gordon, but he would cost huge money and I'm not entirely convinced just yet. Are there just not many talented forwards about at the moment, or have they simply already been recruited by top clubs?

shame in a year where some seriously talented right wingers were available we are hampered by financial issues and inability to move some players.

Olise, Douie will be great buys for their clubs.

Hopefully next summer we address other key outgoings and incomings. More cb's needed next year imo with maguire an lindelof going.

We have good options out wide at the moment hopefully they shake it up with those 2 leaving and one coming in. I'd like chiesa to come in but that's probably not on. Lots of talk of him going to Barcelona. Hopefully we move sancho on as it's a big row waiting to happen imo.

The wide forward area is the part of the team I am least concerned about.

Firstly we have some good young players in Garnacho and Amad that I am excited to see how they develop. While players like Lacey and Williams are in the academy who look exciting prospects.

Secondly, it's a position where I feel there are loads of really good prospects around that could be signed. Yeah Olise and Doue have gone this year, but there are literally dozens of options out there. Players like Johan Bakayoko, Nico Williams, Kvaratskelia, Kubo, Rafael Leao, Anthony Gordon, Mitoma, Raphinha, Pina, Conceicao, Adingra, Minteh, Antonio Nusa, and Roony Bardghji just off the top of my head and not including players that aren't really attainable like Vinicius Junior.

With more young players breaking out all the time. For example very few people would have included Doue this time last year. Maybe there is a potential world class player we aren't aware of right now who has a breakout season this year.

Positions like RB, CDM and ST are typically far more concerning right now as there aren't many top quality options out there available.

We need a new LB for example, but I'm not too worried as there seems to be a lot of potentially really great options such as Aït-Nouri, Kerkez, Locko, Bard, Truffert, Gutierrez, Netz, Dorgu, even Hato who could be either a CB or LB.

Is there anyone we would potentially look to Ed? I don't think we can rely on Rashford/ Sancho/ Antony, so that only leaves Garna and Amad. If any of them are sold, we would need one for sure.
