Ed what is going on regarding transfers? It's all gone quiet, just expecting Morgan and Depay to be signed. There's only a couple of weeks till pre season and we only have 1/2 players signed

Isn't that a good thing? The rumour mill has us linked with everyone, but even the likes of jamie Jackson can't get it right at the moment, whereas last year and the year before most notably, we let the world know who we were after and ended up paying 35 million for a bad hair day! I think Edwood is learning the game.

Is no one else concerned that we again seem to be a little directionless in the transfer market. I like to think we had a list of targets at the end of the season but it seems now we are willing to put that on hold and bid on the cuff. Why are we messing about with Ramos, I understand that he is a great player and would be a great signing but he couldn't have been a genuine target a few weeks ago which makes me worry that he will sign and new contract and we will be left looking silly and still without the CBs we so desperately need. I would like us to get a CB and then chase Ramos that way if nothing comes of it we won't be too affected. Hopefully we are just treating that mob at their own game. I'd like to see us snap up Schneiderlin and they go after Bastian, if what we read is true and Schneiderlin is an alternative I can't see him sitting around waiting for that whenArsenal are mean on him too. Hopefully all our transfers are done and dusted and will be announced when the club sees fit, I just hope we haven't had our heads turned by players using us and missing out again, hopefully ED has learnt his lesson in previous transfer windows.

What RB would be interested in, now we've cooled our interest in Clyne? Are we interested in Carvajal or Darmian? Thanks!

I honestly think, from what I've seen from Carvajal, that he is the weakest player in Real's team and I think he isn't a quality player at all. Clyne, Alves will be far better options.

Cavajhal is a beast. Great work rate at getting forward and back. And awesome distribution from the wing aswell as from depth.
For me, he is the better option of the three by a distance. Surely Alves' years will catch him, but Defo has another 1 or 2 at the top level. So he would be my consolation. Clyne is far too erratic for my liking, no doubt he has potential but in a 'Zaha' kinda way. He tends to go missing, and has 1 good game out of every 4 or 5. Just isn't consistent enough.

We will probably end up with Alves until a better option becomes viable

Alves will be very good for another year or 2 at which point hopefully McNair can replace him. Money saved and it gives McNair someone to learn from with the idea of taking over from Alves in the long run.
