Have seen quite a bit of him he is pretty good but has a few weaknesses in that he tends to get drawn upfield and not always gets back to defend. Goes to ground easily under challenges and also is knocked off the ball quite often. I wonder if he is upto the physicality of our league. I don't think he 's better than Clyne or Colman.

On his way to Barca I believe
{Ed001's Note - correct that Barca are trying to sort a deal for him to join in January.}
28 May 2015 09:43:49
I've heard he is Barcelona bound.
28 May 2015 10:28:52
If Barca are interested then that negates the comment saying he isn't as good as Clyne or Coleman lol.
28 May 2015 11:18:53
what a daft comment that is JMB. Barca signed Douglas, does that make him on par with the likes of coleman or clyne? Vidal is a different player to both. Just because they want a deal, doesn't mean he's better than most RB's in the world.
28 May 2015 12:12:23
Must mean the end of Dani Alves then I would of thought.
28 May 2015 12:18:17
I watched him last night for the first time and thought he looked good and now I am being told the champions of Spain and future CL winners want him to fill the void left by one of the best Rb's in the world in Danny Alves.
But he must not have a patch on the likes of Clyne right? Go figure.
28 May 2015 12:47:16
Again, another daft comment.
He's the cheap option, home grown and has played at a reasonable level over the past 12months. he is not at the same level as either clyne nor coleman. Both play in the prem week in, week out. Vidal plays in spain, week in, week out. Do i have to explain the rest?
28 May 2015 13:23:47
Are you kidding? So the Spanish league is now not a decent league? The league that has just produced the Europa league winners, has the current CL winners and future CL winners. The league that has all the best players in the world and your knocking it? Get your head your backside mate.
28 May 2015 13:28:31
You are totally right Pabawan, let's forget buying the likes of Otamendi, Gundogan or Benzema, there are plenty of Leicester, Sunderland or Swansea players we could get who have played week in, week out in the PL. Genius!
28 May 2015 13:56:50
Read thr OP. JMB how many times have you seen him play? Nothing to do with where they play (take mbia for example). You need players that fit into a system, not the other way around. Never knocked la liga, nor the prem. But again, i'll say it again. He's not the same level of player, but he fits the system. Where swansea and leicester come into this is oblivious to me brendan? Harry kane, coutinho, erikson and lloris play wk in, wk out. i'd take any of them. Deluded the pair of you
28 May 2015 14:11:49
So a quick search has shown me that he is a top target for Barca and has been called up to the Spain squad. Yes Pabawan he sounds like an average player. Winning a European medal, being chased by the best club in the world and getting called up to play in an unreal team.
Yes you did bag la Liga and now you have followed it up by saying you would take Kane, Eriksen, Coutinho etc. So you wouldn't take Messi, Bale, Ronaldo, Modric, Neymar, Greizmann, Koke etc? You my friend have lost the plot. If you backtrack anymore you will be in the 1950's. Behave.
28 May 2015 14:26:32
A regular Sevilla watcher then? You obviously watch lots of Everton and Southampton games too, to be able to compare all 3 with equal insight. My guess is that you have read and believe the hype of Clyne and Coleman, and see the very low price tag of Vidal and come to the conclusion that he isn't as good. Both Clyne and Coleman are very much overpriced. Clyne is also very overrated, but decent. Coleman is better but would be much too costly, and not worth the outlay, in my eyes.
28 May 2015 14:30:16
JMB, You sound like a liverpool fan. You asked for opinions, i gave mine. I know more about him than yourself and i would take the players i have mentioned(all at the same level as sevilla IMO). Again, you have missed the point entirely. Enough time has been wasted on here. I can see why ed002 left now.

Brendan81, my mrs is a EFC ticket holder. So in answer to your comment, yes, i do see a lot of coleman. can't be overpriced if he's probs the 2nd best RB in the prem. Has nothing to do with money though. If the player fits the style, they get signed. simple as. The prem is the most competitive league in the world, every team has a chance to beat the other. Unlike the spanish league where real and barca can enjoy 5+ goal romps nearly every week.
