Just saw the video clip of Mata with the young fan in the wheelchair after the Norwich game.

Said it before, and I'll say it again. The guy's a class act, on and off the pitch.

He is a proper nice guy, and a gentleman.

Think it's quite sad though, that something that should come naturally to our role models, warrants a round of applause, because it stands out so much in an era of over-paid, over-pampered young men, who's only daily thoughts revolve around themselves. It should be the norm, rather than the exception.

God, I sound like my father.

It's not just that though is it Grandad? He talked last week about the obscene amounts of money footballers earn, how many think they are Billy Big Boots before they have done anything. He is articulare and intelligent, he likes to travel and experience new cultures, he seems a sensible level headed genuine young man, footballer or not. I agree he stands out as so many of his peers are tattooed, ear ringed yobs.

Yes you got to watch those tattooed small minded footballers.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, Zaha was on Frank Lampard's comedy quiz thing at the weekend. Zero personality, completely inarticulate and about as dim as a 1 watt bulb.

I always wince hearing John Terry interviewed. He was captain of England and pretty much illiterate. I think the continental boys tend to be pretty well educated.

Micah richards was better on league of their own than he was at playing football.
