Very fair play, in addition to comments that Pep made, which were carefully worded but cutting didn't Emre Can dig him out at Dortmund publicly as well. Either way it's yet more evidence that United more than thing need someone in place to prevenr thia sort of waste in future.

A great post ED001. I do feel the club will be stuck with him unless they accept a reasonablly low fee or a loan for the player. Much will depend on Sancho dropping his wage demands aswell.

Sancho sums up perfectly how shambolic Utd are when it comes to recruitment. I could quite easily add a few others aswell.

And people are blaming ten hag for treating him badly. This guy is not what a squad needs around the place with his bad attitude. It is not for hin to decide the team, or whether he is working hard enough. That is for the coaches.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there Ed.

1. The player thinks he’s a lot better than he is, not just in ability but stature.
2. How does a club that claims to have scouted a thousands right backs not hear the opinions of top level coaches, about a player they are just about to invest over £100 million on in transfer fees and wages.

This signing is typical of the last 10 years. A less than average player, signed for a Hollywood price, who can’t be sold and is left to stink the place out.

As I’ve said before, we’re spending Waitrose money in the Asda supermarket.

Wazza, The club will know or at least have a good idea about what these players are like. The problem is that the people making the decisions don't have to deal with the consequences. They are far too preoccupied with appearances. Making United look like a big club because they are spending on big name players. Throwing their weight around. Looks good when speaking to potential sponsors, we are signing this player and that player and they can market your goods/ services etc.

How did we come to buy him? Was he scouted and watched properly because it’s mystifying quite how he was thought to be good enough given your insight. If you were aware of his shortcomings why didn’t the selection process not identify the same issues? Worrying indeed.

Ed are you of the opinion we’d be much better off with Rangnick calling the shots over what we have now?

I ask, because it seems so obvious to me and others, so it beggars belief that the owners cannot see it.

A reluctance to take a chance, take on a defender, or even sprint!

What do you think the malaise is Ed? Poor scouts, or a a reluctance from those who receive the scouting reports to take the advice?

I fully back EtH in his approach and hope the club stick with him and support him with a proper DoF….

{Ed001's Note - the scouting is obviously an issue because a good scout will not recommend a player like that and would leave if the club is constantly ignoring their advice. But clearly those above them are not doing due diligence either, so they have to be part of the problem. Someone should have been researching the player's background and family etc. United do not do this.}
