Ed1- do you know much about Ekitike who we are being linked too this weekend.

I saw Chelsea and Liverpool mentioned.

Never seen him play myself but the fee quoted seems pretty huge.

{Ed001's Note - I was never impressed by him, but he apparently made huge strides forward last season. I would be wary about buying from Frankfurt, they seem to sell high and the player fails to live up to expectations. He has potential, but it is only just starting to build into actual.}

I'd be pretty worried if we sign him. £85m is the apparent price for a centre forward who's best attributes aren't anything to do with goalscoring, that is very concerning. Runs with the ball well, presses well, is able to link up well too. Bit like a quicker Zirkzee. However, doesn't strike me as a player who's going to get 20 plus goals in the PL anytime soon.

He'd do well in a side like Liverpool who have plenty of goals in their team anyway and a lot of attacking movement as well as others to take some of the attention of defenders off him. The options they have could allow him to ease in and develop. He wouldn't have that luxury for us and at that price he would have a lot of pressure on him.
