From other pages and ed002 posts seems like olise going to chelsea, that's a shame, usbdelaying manager situation probably didn't help, ed002 whondo you see us going for rw position? Maybe neto or someone else?

{Ed002's Note - I have identified the options already.}

Re: RW there is Amad too, apart from Lacey and Montato.

How many players do Chelsea need…? Surprised they can still afford to keep spending without selling a few.

Doesn’t Cole palmer play from the right for them?

Although I’m not sure how firm uniteds interest was. I doubt it was high priority. I’m guessing CB and DM are higher up the list. Unless of course we find some sucker to take Antony off our hands!

I always thought it was an unlikely move for us. Unless, like Fallguy says, we could convince someone to buy Antony (and for a decent fee too) .

There is a limit to how much we can spend, and with Amad and Garnacho able to play at rw, I just didn't see it being prioritised over cbs and cm/ cdm's (realistically I thhink we'll need 2 of each I expect), and most likely a striker too (sadly I don't see the club taking up my idea and converting McT back to a striker to offer competition and cover to Rasmus.

Sure if some middle east club decided that they hadn't wasted quite enough money and splashed 50+m on Antony, maybe Olise might have been an option, otherwise it was never going to happen.

I'd have liked an offer of Anthony and cash for Olise. Replaces Olise for them and there is certainly a player in Anthony, perhaps Palace's way of playing would suit him. Sadly, I don't think either of Palace or Anthony would have been keen on that.

{Ed002's Note - Crystal Palace have already signed the Olise replacement.}

Have amad or pellestri had a fair crack? Both look like they may be able to do a job. Rw isn't that much of a pressing issue this summer.

Pellistri looked underweight and not fast enough for the EPL. Decent player but future lies elsewhere. I hope we keep Amad. He looks like a really good option on the right.

Skillful, quick, can go inside or out, can dribble and shoot, which is to say he has demonstrated in his few opportunities a host of skills Antony seems to lack. An excellent squad member in what will be a full season, especially if we continue to do well in cup competitions.

Pellestri will surely leave. Amad I expect will stay and fight for a place.

I'd definitely like to see Amad getting more game time this season and start challenging Antony for the starting place. Amad is good enough IMO, that Antony will have to step up his game considerably if he wants to keep his place.

If Antony does step up, that's great for us, if not, Amad will come in and should have no problem doing better than Antony has managed for the last year. Win-win as far as I'm concerned.

Agree with the above. More then time for Pellestri to move on.

I prefer Garnacho on the right personally, and Rashford left. Leaves Amad to fight it out for a place and I’d keep for a season, and maybe one more versatile forward plus another striker.

Olise is a great player and in the current market available for a reasonable price. He even plays in a position where we haven't got anyone who has totally tied down that position, while with Greenwood and Sancho both almost certainly leaving this summer there does appear to be space for another signing in that position.

However, we absolutely have far greater need in other areas of the pitch. Garnacho has probably played his best football on the right for us this season, while Amad has shown promise in the game time he has had towards the end of the season. Antony is unlikely to be sold, while both Mount and Bruno can play RW if needed.

Pellistri is clearly talented, but doesn't seem a good fit for the EPL. He reminds me a little of Zoran Tosic. Has the right attitude and he is skillful, but he seems overawed with the pace and power in the EPL. He looks like a boy playing in a man's game. I think he needs to move to a league like the Eredivisie or Liga Nos for a couple of years to establish himself before moving back to one of Europe's top leagues, even then he might be better suited to Serie A or the Bundesliga.

While Olise would definitely improve us next season, that can't be at the expense of a CB or a CDM.
