Not sure I agree everything Ed but without a doubt very good read. Not a fan of Klopp and feels he is a good actor. Then again there are better ones around ?? and knows how to blame everyone else but himself.
In any case next season will be interesting to see how LFC handles the situation. I wish the relegated team and the newly promoted teams good luck.
Thanks for all the interesting information and responses all these times even though I don’t post nor respond much these days. You’re ????.

{Ed001's Note - good to see you are still about 666, take care and enjoy the summer. That is if it is summer where you are!}

Agree with a lot of that, although the lack of midfield signing last summer meant that Liverpool lacked both quality and energy in midfield all season. To compete at the top you either need to have more quality or more work rate in midfield than the opposition. You can't regularly lose the midfield battle and expect to compete.

The other issue that I think has negatively impacted Liverpool's season which was entirely within Klopp's control has been his crusade against match officials.
While I have some sympathy for some of the decisions that have gone against Liverpool this season. Klopp's personal comments (possibly attacks) have only worked to turn match officials against the club. Leading to Liverpool losing out on too many of the 50/ 50 decisions.

It's one thing to say you think the official has got a decision wrong, but to suggest that they have an agenda against the club brings into question their professionalism and their morals.

It was stupid and was never likely to benefit the club in anyway. Just an attempt to deflect from poor performances/ results. But ultimately probably just compounded things.

Too many older players, too many young players and not enough players in their peak age range with enough experience. If Liverpool buy 2-3 high energy midfielders in the peak age range (23-27 with experience, 150+ top level appearances) in the summer they'll be back challenging. They have Elliott, Jones and Carvalho for cover who need to get their appearances/ experience up.
