Casually waiting to see jred's response 👀😂.

Ed001, on the rumour page I've mentioned James Rodriguez has been linked to United as a possible alternative to Jack Grealish.

Forget the money, based on just ability which would you sign James Rodriguez or Jack Grealish?

{Ed001's Note - neither but if I really was forced to take one it would be Grealish. James is not that good and slower than a week in jail.}

Shaps
Pretty much what I said on the rumour page .
People get blinded by names that play for big teams .

ED001, who do you think Utd should sign for the RW position?

{Ed001's Note - Neres or Chiesa I would suggest.}

Thanks ED001.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

Neres is a very interesting player, he could do very well for us.

jred, I'm not sure where you get this idea that I like "fancy" names. I've suggested many British players with pretty standard names for those of us living in the UK. Maddison and Cantwell as well as Kalvin Phillips are players I think could be very astute signings.

If anything I tend to suggest the lesser known or thought of players. People like Emi Buendía for example.

We all know you get a stiffy for players with an off field problem. You were a passionate Rooney supporter during the Rooney saga, you are a big fan of players like Pogba and Lingard, players who's off field activities are suggested to have impacted their on pitch performances.

So of course you really want to see us sign a basket case like Grealish. Someone who'll be getting drunk, showing a lack of professionalism and generally being a waste of undoubted talent.

shaps as I have said before rooney was very good with with my daughter.
Pogba imo does get treated differently but as I have said many times the main issue is he is not the player the media made him out to be . And people belive the hype .

As for grealish being a basket case? Dear me 🤦‍♂️.

{Ed001's Note - I would like someone to explain to me what off field activities Pogba has that interfere with his football? I have never heard anyone who has worked with him suggest anything like that. That is not something I have ever heard there being a problem with. Quite the opposite. He is a clean living lad who does not drink.}

Shaps should also say James is at this stage of his career really is the definition of a fancy name signing. Poor fit for united and the epl imo .
But you really seem to be kean on him? Post on the rumour page and even here on a grealish thread?

Ed that doesn't fit the narrative around pogba so best not mention it.

{Ed001's Note - ah ok, forget I said anything. My lips are sealed like the time I got superglue on them.}

Grealish or James for same money? Grealish. James is like a brick wall.

And i'm not a fan of Grealish at all.

Now there’s a story there Ed 😂.

{Ed001's Note - there was but I couldn't tell you it as my lips were sealed...}

Ed001, I didn't mean off field activities such as drinking or being irresponsible.

Both Pogba and Lingard have numerous other commercial commitments, which some say distract them from focusing on their football.

Personally I'm not sure having a fashion label or anything else really stops a footballer succeeding on the pitch. But it's a common narrative.

That same was said of Beckham by a few before he left. Every time he had a poor performance it was his fashionable wife and celebrity lifestyle that stopped him playing well.

{Ed001's Note - I have heard that said of Lingard, but no one actually involved with working with Pogba thinks the same applies to him.}

12.) 23 Aug 2020
23 Aug 2020 12:29:20
@ed001 what do you think will happen with Pogba this summer? Do you think he’ll ever come good at United or do you think he should just be leave?

{Ed001's Note - I don't think anyone can afford him at the moment, so he will end up staying. He probably should be moved on though the hitting on the break system does suit his way of playing, so it is only because he is unhappy that it is better to get rid.}

23 Aug 2020 12:51:25
Typical to assume Pogba’s off field activities interfere with his football.

How about Maguire’s off field activities?

{Ed047's Note - it’s difficult to interfere with the little of real note that he contributes.

Basket case is pure hyperbole by shappy but he is an out and out unprofessional so and so.

15.) 23 Aug 2020
23 Aug 2020 15:05:43
This is a classic case of using tropes fuelled in the media to influence your opinion of a player when it comes to pogba, people should really think for themselves instead of repeating stuff they have heard in the media.

Also i'm sure its the fashion label that has affected lingards performances and not the fact he's just not productive enough to be a starting attacking player at the top level.

Pogba walks in to your side ed047. That’s not saying much to be honest.

He is a fantastic player either way and I think the managers we have/ had just don’t know how to get the best out of him.

I do agree that if he doesn’t want to be here then the club is being ridiculous in forcing him to stay.

{Ed047's Note - 🤣🤣🤣 you got that right, he literally walks everywhere, he wouldn’t get into our side as he simply doesn’t do enough and the longer you keep him the better Amz.

Stinks your place right out! 🤷‍♂️🤣 Bruno on the other hand, immense.

I’d have literally anyone other than Pogba in our side.

Pogba wouldn't get in to the arsenal team
You could put him at cb and he would be arsenals best defender never mind midfield.
