Just realised it's a big weekend this week with us playing first away to Sunderland with the 4 teams above us playing each other. If ever there was a must win it's this week end.

Would be nice to see top 2 win so we could close the gap (if we have beaten Sunderland) on Man City, Arsenal. M Carrick maintains we are still in the race for the title so top 2 losing would be better outcome. tough one to call supasub.

We know at least 2 of the top 4 will drop points, maybe all 4, so a win would close the gap. Some people seem to think we can't get top 4 but win our next two games and we will be very close, we have Arsenal after the little league break, then what I would call 'winnable' games, but this season it seems they are the ones we are struggling with!

Quite frankly top four would need a miracle IMO. That said I would accept a loss against Sunderland if I thought it would provoke action on the manager front.

The Eye,

I presume that is a joke? You would accept a loss? None of this nonsense now we need as many points as we can get to challenge for top 4. It won't need a miracle.

Hang on, I've just realised the eye is JMB, rollo, maze isn't it? Oh for god sake.

Is there a 4th successor to the moaner throne?

Gds, the reason some people think we can't get top 4, me being one of them, is because realistically we probably need to win 7 or 8 of the last 13 to do that. We have won 3 of the last 12 games. So why will we suddenly start winning every other game? We have improved much. People say we have but I'm sorry, not enough. The sooner LVG is out the door the better as far as I'm concerned. Had he been replaced at Christmas I'm sure top 4 would be more realistic.

It can't be maze jmb Rollo as the post did not open with the line 'a wise man once said' or did not talk about himself in the 3rd person, I would like to think that the 3 of them are in the same place as I am kloot, banished to a little desert island where there is no wifi.

Gds I thought the same thing.

Stand,

So you would take a loss on Sunday then as no point playing for top 4 now? I really hope we prove a few people wrong on here over the coming weeks.

Ken,

Unfortunately I think I might have been right.

It was partly a joke! Interesting as to who will take the bait. Of course I hope (against hope) that we play a blinder until the end of the season and fly high. However reason tells me two things. 1/ It probably won't happen 2/ If it does it will cement Woodward and LVG into the philosophy of being right when they are unbelievably wrong. I don't believe we can risk being lucky for another season, My comments were in the vein that short term pain is often the way to long term success. Will the board of directors direct rather than drift?

I am a MU fan who wants to see us play with swagger and style. It is coming, but not because of LVG. He is being forced to change to protect his job and pension pot. Any short term success is likely to make him think "the philosophy" was right all along. Does anyone here want that! I thought not.
