I think the best option would be to buy a CB and let Blind/ CBJ cover LB and Darmian/ Varela/ McNair cover RB.
Rojo is back in training so he can't be more than 3-4 weeks away.

Buying a CB makes more sense at this moment. Despite knowing the injury record of our CBs selling Evans without buying a replacement was a brainf@rt of the highest order.

We need RB and CB both, Darmian lacks pace and offers nothing going forward so i guess a RB is a priority too.

I think you are being extremely harsh on Darmian, I think he has quite a few decent attributes, he is good positionally and would improve with better central defenders.

He's hardly slow, but if it was all about pace Kyle Walker wouldn't be absolute crap. Darmain is adjusting to a new league and needs a solid run in his best position to help him adapt. He did well at the start of the season, and struggled on a few occasions because Mata was playing rw and offers no defensive support. He wasn't my first choice as a rb, but he is certainly a good player who would undoubtedly do better alongside better cbs.

Is Darmian any better than Rafael?

For a team with all this investment we still have a hell of a lot of holes to fill. Carrick, Schweiny and Rooney reaching the end as well.

Maybe Ed could get somebody to change our club name to Microsoft Utd to cover all the money needed to cover for the ineptitude of the past 3 years.
