Hi Ed is the Casemiro signing a FDJ alternative or are we still looking to sign FDJ or similar player?

I can't see FDJ deal happening now. If he chooses to leave Barcelona it looks like Chelsea are ready to swoop in. With them being a UCL team, probably the closest team in the league to challenge City/ Liverpool for the title and them being a London team I'd expect to lose out in that battle. Personally I think he'll be staying at Barcelona now, I can't see him cracking.

However, we could see a deal for either SMS or Tielemans who are both closer in profile to FDJ still join the club this summer.

Although imagine if we do get FDJ over the line, Our midfield will have gone from McFred to FDJ and Casemiro with Bruno/ Eriksen.

I just hope the club don’t think Casemiro is the solely the answer to our problems. Would be great to see sms or tielemans. Still think RB is a problem and RW/ ST.

Won’t be popular but they may look at Fred’s performances for Brazil with Casemiro and look to go with that partnership with Fernandes/ Eriksen.
