It's just united click bait like 99% of every other news article out there.

Great Hotel and the kind of place you would see lot's of high profile people. It has a great internal outdoor garden area that is superb in the spring. Woody is definitely not travelling on a budget if true lol.

It is said to be the hotel where Woodward has met important agents previously. I understand the club have denied it as you would expect at this time. Personally I hope it is true.

I saw Gordon McQueen's comments on Guardiola which pretty much match what I have said on here consistently. Guardiola is a test for Woodward, fail it and see him go to City will see us in their shadow for years to come.

I don't believe pep is the only answer. As for seeing us in their shadow, that's just plain paranoia. Even if that was the case, he will sign a three year deal and then leave. I think we may be looking at him, but the board may be thinking longer term option than appointing someone who does his three years then is gone. If the rumours of LVG gone in summer are true, we should be looking at Blanc, Jose, Conte and even Allegri as per Ed002 a year early. Unless things get really bad, it's just too unsettling to change managers mid season.

Eric

If Pep goes to City I expect them to attract the very top players and win the league for the next three years plus go close or win the Champions League. People laughed when SAF said he wanted to knock Liverpool off their perch and did, now City are opening trying to do it with us and it needs to be taken very seriously.

Three years of Pep at City would make them one of Europe's elite, ignore it at your peril.

We really should get our own house in order though rather than worry about others which we can't control. Things like our academy are the most key thing for our future and Woodybaexieing deals with wine and tyre companies to pay for it. I get your point RedMan, but if we don't get Pep, there are some great options for us out there that would make us very competitive. I think we have, bar one or two gaps at the back and right wing, the making of a very exciting squad.

I'm with Eric on this.

Pep is clearly a very good manager, and while I dislike possession football generally, his particular brand is pretty tolerable. However, he is not the only very good manager around, and I'd rather see us go for a manager who is going to at least try to duplicate SAF, in longevity if not neccesarily in success (duplicating SAF's success will not happen again in the forseeable future) .
