Ed002 what is the situation with Frenkie de Jong? Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Frenkie de Jong (CM) Barcelona ddin't really want to sell last summer although if a significant offer (perhaps €80M) were made, their financial situation would mean they would have had to consider it and the hierarchy accept that removing his very significant wages from the books would free up space to register other players. Player wanted to stay and had no interest in moving to Manchester United. Again, this summer Barcelona will be open to an significant offer and ten Hag would certainly be open to taking the player but the player has no interest in a move. Huge wages.}

Thank you for the response. Do you think EtH is wasting his time with the pursuit or do you think there is a chance he joins United?
I really don’t want another Summer like the last.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot imagine it is taking up too much of his time. They have other options they will also consider.}

That’s reassuring. Has this info already been shared Ed? Bellingham, Rice might be two? Any others?

I’d absolutely jump at another summer like the last, Casemiro and Martinez have been 2 of our best signings in the last 10 years, another summer like that and we will make another step up next season. Ignore all the noise in the background, don’t read twitter etc and just wait until September and see who we’ve got and it makes your summer a lot less stressful I find.

Declan Rice

Youri Tielemans

Romeo Lavia

Zubimendi

Matheus Nunes

Moises Caiceido

(Sign Saitzer on contract)

Other than FDJ who’s the best option?

JP, that depends on what we are looking for. Do we want a physical box to box player who'll move about and put out fires, and drive the play forward with the ball at their feet. Or do we want a tempo setter, someone who'll drop into pockets of space to receive the ball then move it on quickly and accurately to keep the ball moving.

Who does Ed think would be best for us?

{Ed002's Note - I expect Sabitzer to join. I would discount Bellingham.}

Bellingham - always felt out of our reach…
Will it only be Sabitzer Ed or do you think they’ll go for a second central midfielder?

{Ed002's Note - It depends on departures but I have explained about de Jong.}

Hi Ed002

Is there any weight to Matheus Nunes speculations?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I know nothing of it.}
