Silly season kicking in now with paper talk of Chelsea enquiring about Maguire as part of swap deal for Pulisic.
After picking myself off the floor and thinking how many people would offer to drive him to Stamford Bridge you look at this a bit more seriously.

Likely to just be a way of getting Leicester to accept there offer for Fofana. Maybe Fofana is one deal too much for Boehly and they need the money elsewhere. Also, I could actually see Maguire fitting in there in his preferable formation of a back 3!
They want Pulisic out and we need attacking players. is it quite such a silly idea after all. Probably!

I think Maguire going to Chelsea could actually be a good deal for everyone.

Maguire doesn't seem to have the personality and mental fortitude to overcome the issues he is having at United. He will never win back the support and trust of the fans.

A fresh start would be best for him, a move to Chelsea makes sense as he could leave without feeling like he is stepping down. While Chelsea's three at the back system is the only system I feel he can be successful in at a decent level.

While Chelsea are one of the few clubs that would give us a decent fee on top of paying his wages.

Chelsea aren't daft enough to go for Maguire and United aren't clever enough to get rid of him.

He is the epitome of everything wrong with our squad and the ineptitude of our recruitment in recent years. He is our Andy Carroll but in fact much worse because at least Liverpool had the sense to get rid of Carroll after a couple of years, they didn't make him captain and try to build around all of his weaknesses to the detriment of the side.

Why on earth would we want Pulisic?

Sancho, Antony (likely), Ronaldo will be our main three.

Rashford, Martial, Gakpo (potentially) to rotate.

Garnacho and Elanga to provide youth options.

Downsie, I highly doubt we'll sign two new wide players. It'll be either or in terms of Antony and Gakpo not both. While I also wouldn't say either are likely necessarily. We have reported had a 80m offer for Antony knocked back. While Gakpo himself will only consider leaving PSV if they lose to Rangers and don't make the UCL group stages.

In which case a move for Pulisic might happen instead of either Antony or Gapko.

Gakpo will be seen as an central option i believe so could see him and Anthony in elanga isn't ready for me may never be ganarcho will jump ahead of him soon!
