Fee agreed for mbeumo. Finally. Least that saga is over. Excited to see what he will bring to this team.

Two premier league proven players hitting their peak. Just the start we wanted after the disastrous season.
On to a GK and striker please.

I can't see is getting either of those until we move on some players first. So going to be a long wait.

Seen a few reports that we have shown interest in some Belgian GK. Apparently had a good season, not sure if that's to challenge Onana or coming in for the number 1 spot. Be good to bring at least 1 other before the tour or very early into it.

Striker and experienced CB with pace plus midfielder who can actually see a pass and execute it to dictate our pace because atm dreadfully slow.

This whole nonsense is exactly what’s wrong with United’s approach to transfers.
Mbeumo could have been signed a month ago, possibly for a slightly lower fee. But the club tried haggle, and submitted bids far below what they knew Brentford would accept.
They wasted an entire month, didn’t save a penny, and cost the player time with his new squad. Over a decade since the club refused to pay Fellaini’s release fee, and ended up paying more at the end of the window. Zero lessons learned.

Striker and a midfielder for me next. Need to shift the deadwood sharpish. Next summer we need a Keeper Centre half and a fullback.

Danny we were all told very clearly that there was money for 2 forwards but beyond that it would require sales. The aim was those two to be in place for the preseason tour. The negativity here is crazy. We have gotten two CL level players for decent fees, on decent wages. When compared to other clubs business - Spurs, Newcastle, etc - I think we've done much better.

With you Don. that's two excellent additions. Tone want built in a day, but I’m really pleased with the these two. I have zero knowledge of the new young left back. Hope inf he’s a top prospect.
Maybe with thid added goal threat and creativity Amorim feels happy with Rasmus up top to convert. Maybe Barcelona have no cash to buy Rashford and he can sit up top and bang then in for fun for us?

Now that we have finally secured our second 10, I would consider that as two-thirds of our attacking woes dealt with - they could, in theory, trigger a huge step up from Hojlund and/ or Zirkzee, but I'm not entirely convinced that's likely, so I'd really like a new No9.
However, I expect a bit of a lull now while we seek to shift the deadwood. It might be possible to get provisional agreements in place in the meantime, but I don't see another move getting over the line until we've at least seen the departures of Sancho and Garnacho.
Then we might encounter something of a quandary - should we complete the refreshment of the front line with a new No9, or should we look for a proper mobile and intelligent DM, or should we get a more robust and pacy CB?
Whichever option we choose will subsequently serve to leave the other two areas vulnerable - unless we focus on the coulds and shoulds.
Could we see Fredricson, Kone and Obi kick on over preseason and put themselves in with a real shout?
Failing that, should we take relatively inexpensive punts on the likes of Bassey, Rios, Hackney or Vlahovic?
I know some might look at Bassey's name and think 'What? ', but hear me out. He stepped up nicely to become Fulham's POTY last season and was absolutely dominant against us. He's a big old unit, but one with a lot more pace than De Ligt and decent ability with the ball. Plus, he's a robust player who hasn't ever had a significant injury and played all but 5 of Fulham's 42 games last season - one for YC suspension while being rested for the other four. The tried and tested Fergie approach of taking your direct rivals' best players should apply to every position and I think Bassey would be a wise choice. Also, we'll be losing Maguire next summer and Bassey, imo, would be a massive upgrade on him.
Anyhoo, I digress somewhat.
Maybe we'll see one or two other new faces, maybe we'll be looking at loans and/ or punts, maybe that's it.
We'll definitely start the season with lots of maybes, let's just hope they deliver.
One thing I'd like to see this season is the group of (loans permitting) Kamason, Amass, Leon, Fredricson, Kukonki, Kone, Moorhouse, Ibragimov, Lacey, Biancheri and Obi appearing regularly on the bench throughout the season.
I'm starting to feel the positivity return, I want more. Come on United, come on.

Don, did I miss Cunha or Mbuemo, playing in the CL, or even qualifying for the CL. Yes good players but not great players, take the tints off
We can hope they score lots and play well, but to say they are CL quality is just wishful thinking.

German how is it wishful thinking. They both are amongst the top performers in the EPL for several seasons. CL quality means those that are good enough to play for a top 5 side in the league. If you don't think that includes those two then fine, but you'd be in the minority, especially since several of those CL qualified teams actually wanted to sign those same players this summer. Hardly tinted glasses. Merely just based on evidence. Honestly fella, I don't mind opposing views but you and a few others seem to just want things to be negative. It's draining even reading your comments sometimes.
