I think it's increasingly obvious we need to sell some players before we can buy.

Is the delay for Mbeumo because we just don't have the cash to complete the deal at their valuation? Reading between the lines, it would seem there was enough money to sign Cunha and Delap, who were apparently the Clubs principal targets, but Delap went to Chelsea and Mbeumo is much more expensive, hence the complicated and protracted negotiations with Brentford.

I think we are all sensible enough to understand the Club are NOT going to sell Rashford, Sancho and Anthony. They will all likely go out on loan again, probably towards the back end of the window. Any interest In Garnacho appears to have dwindled, so it begs the question what are we going to do? We are stuck!

Where I differ from some supporters is I have no sympathy with Ineos. This situation was inevitable as soon as they colluded with the Glazers. This is not the Glazers mess but Ineos as well, they can't be separated, they are partners. The Glazers have took us to the brink, due to neglect and poor management, so Ineos calling for patience, after they decided to work with them, understanding the dire financial position of the Club and the hostility towards the Glazers in the fan base was never likely to be tolerated by large sections of the fan base, who have already been waiting well over a decade.

My cynical opinion is that the Glazer/ Ineos alliance is all about building a new stadium, adding significant value to the Club years down the line. I have seen little evidence that Ineos are determined to return the team to the top and they are certainly not prepared to take any risks or find innovative solutions to pump more money into the Club.

Can we operate as a mid table Club until the new stadium is built? The problem I envisage will we even fill a 100k capacity stadium by that time? In addition we probably won't feel the benefit of any potential increased revenue until the majority of building the new stadium has been paid off in 10-15 years time.

With the eye watering money on offer from the revamped Champions League we are more likely to be cut adrift rather than compete at the top again.

What is the plan? I just can't see one, and if it's austerity, cuts and a sell to buy policy whilst we build a new stadium, surely it's destined to fail.

Of course Ineos would want United back up the top as would the glazers and any owners come to that!
Of course they will sell Some if not a couple and a couple of loans, there is ages to go yet, being a bit premature with the doom and gloom
I don’t understand why supporters think spending 50 million plus is like walking into a supermarket.
Don’t you think the club along with RA are doing all they can to secure ins and outs.
I never ever see RA say he wanted Gyokeres press just presumed it because previous connection, RA might think he won’t hack it in the epl, we have no idea
RA might not be 100% sold on Mbeumo we have no idea…let’s just wait and see, it’s one thing barracking the players we have, we seen them, but to beat the club about not buying players we don’t even have any idea if they even want is laughable really
We know we need a proper striker, we all know roughly what we need, we’ll I am sure RA and the club do too, let’s wait and see.

German - You continually ignore the evidence why would the Club make two bids and negotiate for a player for over 6 months that they don’t want. Your logic makes not sense? A lot of us think the Club are incompetent based on a wealth of evidence spanning over a decade.

If you want to be positive that’s your prerogative but we finished 15th last season, 8th the year before and our financial situation is dire despite consistently generating some of the highest revenues in world. These are the facts.

Dlib, so we listen to the press when it suits us do we… have United confirmed bids? Or are the press confirming
Do you not think if it was straightforward and we really want him we would not pay the extra 2.5m
There is no evidence just hear say…. I work on balance of probability not hear say, so your evidence is a figment of imagination I’m afraid.

German - Are you a Trump supporter? Fake news come on pal!

Ornstein, Romano, Ben Jacob’s, many other reputable journalists have all confirmed Utd have made two bids for Mbeumo and they want the player. If you want to live in a world of fake news and conspiracies where you can’t believe anything, go ahead, I’ll converse with the sensible posters. Yes, I do think they are arguing about £2m and again you ignore the evidence. Ratcliffe has sacked half the work force, he’s stopped serving food in the canteen, he stopped a £40k per year payment to charity, why would you not believe they would be haggling about a relatively small amount? Again just plainly ignoring the evidence to suit your own warped agenda. This is not my imagination, you choose what you want to believe but to me you’re just an ostrich with your head buried in the sand not applying any kind of logic, knowledge or common sense to most of your posts. I’ve tried but I can’t engage in any sensible debate or conversation with you, we move on.

But Dlib, you’re listening to news that you have no idea if it’s fake or not, don’t pretend otherwise! You seem to believe the press when it suits you and not when it don’t… if united wanted Mbeumo so badly, they would have bought him, it’s 100% nothing whatsoever to do with 2.5 million, more fool you for thinking that…. If it was so petty over money on players why on earth let the world know you don’t want Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho, Antony, that will have cost you big time and that’s a Fact, not like yours listening to As beens who need clicks.
