He won’t get the remaining 3 months of the season let alone 3 seasons if results remain this way Shappy.

They won’t sack him even if relegated. None of it his fault. The club and all of us need to be United behind him.

Your underestimating a lot there pal. This squad is neither good enough or buying into what amorim is trying to do. Players we even brought last summer look uncomfortable in it.
The task the manager has is massive. But the people in charge also have to get everything correct. While trying to rebuild a squad on more of a budget than before.
Im intrigued to see what happens in coming seasons and where we end up but the jump to the teams above us will take longer than 3 seasons in my opinion. that's if the manager lasts that long.

W16wes, I'd say that I am being in the optimistic side of realistic.
If things go to plan then it's feasible to be back challenging in three seasons time.
This issue is that if it takes much longer than three years then you have to factor in the the relative shortness of players careers, and their contracts.
If you take 5-6 years to get back then players you signed in the first couple of summers are probably out of contract and will either be leaving or having to sign an extension. Likewise that 24 year old you signed in the first summer is now 30, will they start to decline?
Realistically a team has about a 3 maybe 4 year peak where they are all good enough to challenge for major honours. After that you need to start dismantling and rebuilding it.
Look at the Liverpool team that won the title compared to this Liverpool team that'll probably win it this year. Key players like Matip, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnuldum, Mane and Firmino are all long gone. While Robertson has started to decline, and TAA, Salah and VvD are seeing their contracts run down.
An optimistic view is that it will take 3 seasons, we can maybe cope with four, five seasons at a push. If it takes longer than that then we risk having to redo the work we put in during the first couple of seasons.

Shappy you said the same about the last few managers 3 years away. I get clinging on to hope but its been 3 years after 3 years after 3 years and in fact we have gotten worse every 3 years not better. I don't buy it at all and just reminds me of what you said when ETH took charge, Mourinho and so on.
