Genuine question; do people think that we now have the best starting XI in the league?

If I were to pick an XI out of us and Liverpool I'd only take Allison, VVD, Fabinho, Salah and Trent (although the latter is marginal as I think AWB is a better defender) . With Chelski I'd take Kante, Reece James and Aspi. From City I'd take Diaz, Gundogan, Silva and De Bruyne.

Assuming Maguire and Varane can strike up a decent partnership, I'm really not sure there's a better back five in world football than ours. If we can sign a top CDM like Ndidi, I don't think there'd be a better midfield 3 than him, Pogba and Bruno. Neymar, Messi and Mbappe is probably a better front three than Rashford, Ronaldo and Sancho, but with Mbappe seemingly Real Madrid bound, I'm not sure any other club can match us on that front either.

I guess what I'm asking is, am I looking at this through rose-tinted glasses or have we genuinely built an incredibly starting XI over the past few seasons? I know a lot of it is subjective and some might try to argue that Havertz is better than Pogba or De Bruyne is better than Bruno - but as a team of XI - I really am struggling to see how any team could even try to argue that they have a better starting lineup other than perhaps Liverpool.

I think Rodri at city would get straight into to our first team. Hendo and fabinho would probably start.

We have a very competitive squad. This has been a very good window and hopefully we can build chemistry quickly.

Best first team in world might be a little rose tinted. But I'm an optimist, so why not 🤣👍.

Speculation of the best team in Europe and whether we actually have a valid argument is not a discussion I expected this season. I've been a man utd fan since I was 9 years old and seeing as I'm from Nottingham I've had many arguments over my right to follow the club. Mark Hughes first made me a united fan purely by his volleying abilities and then cantona by his sheer class.
There have been many many great players at United but for me Ronaldo will be for the current history and foreseeable future be the best. Absolute determination and belief. A purely winning mentality that does not accept second place or cutting corners. Strong, and challenging until the final minute. In my mind's eye what sir Alex would see as the perfect player.

I've spoken to many of my other fellow utd fans this afternoon and I've not heard one murmur or the slightest of quarrel or dissatisfaction.
I'm genuinely absolutely buzzing and I can't wait until the next game. He will bring so much to this team in every aspect. It's not possible for this to be a bad signing.
All of the top clubs have made top signings and had good windows but I believe we have just smashed that little saucy grandma out the park.

Also whenever you feel like Ronaldo is done or finished he completely surprises you.
A happier Ronaldo, feeling extremely loved by the supporters and given a god like status will make him give an extra 10-20% more.
There were some posters saying he looked a shadow of himself in the champions league games or euros, maybe he did. But one thing I'm sure about is he will be back and he will prove his doubters wrong, he's a built career over it.
I know he won't start at Wolves, but given his extreme fitness level I would start him. Simply because I smell a draw incoming at Wolves.

Ronaldo coming back to United where his career really took off would I am sure want to show the club, fans and everyone in the world that he is still the best.

The emotions, the fans getting behind him and singing his name and the fact that Sir Alex is going to be in attendance to watch him is going to spur him on and get him ready for one final dance at the "Theatre of Dreams".

And I can't wait to have him on the pitch.
