The handful of times I've seen Casemiro play he has not looked anything special. Not sure why people have called for him as a Matic replacement.

After last night's performance, I hope we see more of McTominay potentially in that holding role.

To be honest ed1 players tend to get a bit overrated when they play for Barcelona and Real Madrid. I think people assume all of them are to quality players which isn't always the case. Two names I thought who might be in with a shout were Pique and more so Marcelo. Marcelo is widely regarded as the best lb by the media which I personally don't agree with.
On a side note who do you think is the best lb in the world ed1?

{Ed001's Note - Pique is no longer rated in Spain, most Spanish think he is crap judging by the ones I spoke to while out there and the coverage I have read in recent months while putting together articles.

As for Marcelo, I completely forgot about him, he is monstrously overrated I agree. The best I think would be Gaya, Alaba was but he has not performed that well this season when I saw him.}
