To continue from comments added earlier about ref standards. I think the standard of refereeing is at an al time low and as someone said it is not about being biased against Utd it's just poor refereeing. In yesterday's game the worst part wasn't the big decisions (goal disallowed etc) but the constant stopping of the game for petty decisions which was stopping us building up a head of steam, really frustrating. Also when Martial got clattered in the box after he hit that shot straight at the keeper why was that not a pen? Anywhere else on the pitch if your tackled after you pass the ball it's a foul, what's the difference when shooting in the box? Another point that needs bringing up is the small club gets less decisions for them. Not for me sorry, I believe the only difference is with a good side the decisions you didn't get don't generally mean anything because you still go on to win the game, thus not being highlighted on TV. Hope you all have a great 2017 and hopefully Utd continue the entertainment we're getting at the minute.

Good post Law Man.

Another thing that is ignored is the fact that so called lesser teams have far less attacks during a game, therefore it is inevitable they are going to get less decisions given.

Why are keepers allowed to punch as well, surely that is dangerous play with attackers coming in to head the ball?

Good points beast, agree totally. Also agree with your critic about Fellaini, he works hard but bottom line is he's not good enough. Only thing I'd say about Mouriniho comments is that he's maybe trying to put club in a strong position when negotiating a fee for him be it now or the summer, he's done a similar thing with Depay bulling up his professionalism etc. It's something Utd have been poor at going all the way back to Beckham being sold for peanuts, without the public falling out we could have got double what Madrid payed.

Cheers Law Man.

If Jose is playing mind games then fair enough and we can't ignore that possibility, but if he is being genuine (and that is what I am basing my comments on) then I don't get it. It's difficult to know what to believe now as there is so much going on behind the scenes and the money involved is extreme. There is very little of people being held to account for what they say now, so it kind of defeats the purpose of interviews/ press conferences etc. Just like election/ referendum debates, people need to be held to account for what they promise/ state if we are expected to believe them again.

when a club is paying millions for a player they do an awful lot of research into the player.

do you think they would buy a player or pay a few extra million more based on a comment in a newspaper?

maybe jose just thought that fellaini done the job he asked him yesterday?
infact one or two on the live chat thought he done ok .
