Now I'm not a student, life has suddenly got a lot busier! So for all of you have been missing me (haha), I just wanted to say I am still around and still read the site but don't get as much chance to post!

Nevertheless, got a few spare minutes now so just wanted to give my take on the goings on of the last few weeks and of what the future holds.

Signings: This has to be the greatest window a non-CL club has said. In fact, it is probably the greatest window any club has had. Bundesliga player of the year signed, Ligue 1 player of the year signed and Serie A player of the year signed for a new world record fee (for less than the £100 million or more reported in the papers) . Bailly also looks like he could be a good purchase, and I am interested to see how he gets on along side Smalling.

Outgoings: Best of luck to McNair and Love, they didn't really have a future here. I do hope Moyes continues with his pursuit of former players. Januzaj out on loan to Sunderland would be great, or Pereira along with Fellaini permanently. I cannot see Fellaini playing regularly here and I think he started at Wembley partly for fitness and also with the hope of putting him in the shop window. In an ideal world, Rojo would go to be replaced by another centre back, but we made need to wait on that one. Schweinsteiger looks to be off as well which is no great loss, he hasn't contributed a think.

First XI: For me, this is the strongest team we have had for years. Much stronger than when we last won the League might I say. There are goals everywhere you look and at least two players in every position from defense to attack. As I said, the odd tweak here or there would be nice but perhaps one or two can prove themselves like Jones.

Management: I think so far Jose has acted very professionally and is the embodiment of what Manchester United should be: Leaders, the best, the biggest. Hats off to Woodward too, he has done some superb business and has clearly learnt a lot in his three years at the club. Dealing with corporations and dealing with footballers/ football clubs is a big change.

Overall, very excited for this weekend. I expect that we will start off with a strong performance. Whether we will see Pogba, I'm not sure. He has had no preseason but is naturally very athletic so we will see.

Hope everyone is well. Banter please ed if possible :)

Real Madrid signed Kaka and Ronaldo in the same window for record fees one after another, in hindsight Kaka wasnt worth it but that is the best window by any team I would say. Ours has been great though.

{Ed041's Note - I disagree mate, yes in terms of names. But I think ours has been better in terms of positions that needed filling and the names that have filled them

Add to the great transfer window and new manager, ddg staying and seeming settled. We all kinda expected madrid to come back in for him.

Hi fresh. Things looking up. Good post.
It won't happen over night but Jose will get us going and with some momentum he knows how to drive a train full speed 😊.
