Van gaal looks to me like he is building his favoured 3 man midfield, now with Daley blind I should imagine he will play the number 6 role, dropping in to play as a 3rd cb when needed, with Herrera and di Maria making up the other 2 positions, maybe mata, Rooney and rvp will b used as the front 3 as forwards?

Thoughts?

would like that formation but sell mata feel sorry with him having to play not in a real united team but he can't beat a player and to slow I would buy reus or depay and play 4 4 1 1

I would sell Rooney he is like a headless chicken, and is no where near good enough to be #10 mata is our best #10

RD69, it may not be what people want to hear, but I actually prefer Rooney in the hole to Mata. His touch isn't as good, his vision isn't as good, but he doesn't get bullied off the ball so easily. Rooney gets bullied of the ball when playing as a striker by the defenders, but can hold his own against midfielders. Mata struggles much like Kagawa did, although not as bad.
