Well that was interesting. not. One thing Fred has given me is hope. hope that even in my 50s with an injury riddled amateur past there is still hope for me to play professional football maybe even in the prem😂.
All too predictable i'm afraid. up against ndidi and tiel in midfield play Matic/ Fred. superb. At least one thing's consistent the football is crap. He really is a poor poor coach/ manager but looks like he's staying so it's going to be rinse and repeat. Poor show as they say. Top 4 the goal that's it. sad really sad!

I’ve come to the conclusion that the reason Fred runs around so much is that he’s constantly chasing his first touch.

I can't for the life of me understand why OGS keeps putting his faith in Fred and Matic. We play two defensive midfielders to protect the central defence yet we are so porous you could drive a bus through our team. It has to be clear to all the coaching staff that neither is good enough. They can have the odd good day but to demonstrate that you are a good player you have to do it when it matters. ie all the time. To be honest, McTominay is not the answer either. Oh to have a player like Ndidi.

The two defensive midfielders but still letting in shed loads is just bizarre isn't it. Matic is poor facsimile of his former self these days and Fred can be just woeful at times. A defensive midfielder who passes more time to the opposition than his own teammates.
The 2 DMs has always illustrated 2 weak spots in our squad for me and its the 2 places we have to concentrate on.
1 - a CB that has recovery pace and can compliment better Maguire
2 - a Midfielder who is strong defensively but has a good passing range also
Swap Lindelof and Fred for those two and all a sudden you have a stronger defensive base but also a more attack minded midfield. One that could probably play 10 yards further up the pitch also.
For all the talk of Haaland and Sancho etc those two positions have to be prioritised.
In addition Ole needs to clear out the deadwood. And that includes making difficult decisions about current first teamer.
A huge summer ahead for us. Again. One that defines Ole's career for better or worse.

First post so be gentle. I ve supported United since the mid 70s and have been blessed to see the good times and the not so good. Unfortunately what I'm seeing at the moment is the not so good. The Ole appointment was rushed and I never saw him as the right appointment at anytime. He is unfortunately in my opinion a very poor coach. Tactically it's counter or nothing. His in game management is poor to put it politely. The football is turgid and awful at the moment and has been for the majority of his tenure. It's like watching an Lvg team at the moment and he was sacked after winning a trophy. I appreciate there are problems higher up and the club is a bit of a mess from top to bottom but Ole and his so called team for me are not the answer. I ve read this page for years and appreciate everyone's opinions but I think the frustration with the rubbish served up has finally got me to vent with fellow fans. Whatever opinions we have I know we all genuinely give a damn about the club. I for one hope he's gone with his team at the end of the season.

Singhray, welcome aboard. If you are going to stick around for a while be prepared for some craziness over here.
Frustration has become the norm under Ole and I am afraid we are not going to see any change anytime soon. We might see a few signings incoming and outgoing and the squad could get better but we might just have to bear with Ole at the helm for some time longer than we would like to.

I would not wait until the end of the season. After last night and the last few games it is destroying the ethos that Busby built . He should be gone this morning.
Ole said after the game that Palace basically made us play the way Palace wanted, what? . Surely the clubs echelon must have eyes and ears to see this utter disgrace or are they still an emotional wreck with tears flowing, watching the 99 video.
Be prepared for Shappy and Jred to tell you that you are wrong!

Mumbles afraid I'll have to disagree. I'm not saying Henderson was not to blame at all but that goal was squarely down to Mct. He gave the free kick away then totally lost his player. I know u don't rate Henderson but not sure De Gea is any better. Henderson takes control of his area and is far more communicative than Ddg. Ddg's decline has been quite something. Each to their own I guess but I personally prefer Henderson out of the 2.
