If that is it for transfers now I think we have had a good window but I think we are still missing in some key areas, cm/ cam/ RW/ at (if Lukaku goes) . Do we think that's it or do we reckon we can expect at least one more? Only 3 days left now so not long to wait. #InTheGlazersWeTrust :-)

I would have loved a couple more but if it takes three or even four windows to build this squad then so be it. As long as the football heads int he right direction and we start to get our identity back I'll be happy.

If we don't get atleast one more in then its been a 6 on 10 window. We are in the Europa league for a reason and i do not see us finishing top 4 with the current squad. We have actually only added a couple of defenders in the first 11 and freezed out the top scorer from last season. How are we planning to make up for Lukaku's goals? If you take out Pogba from the team you take out all the creativity from the team and then no matter how talented your youngsters in the forward positions are, you are not going to score goals if there is no one creating those chances for you. And make no mistake, Pogba will have his annual rant if he doesn't get his dream move.

A club like Manchester United simply cannot afford to spend another year down in the dumps of Europa, that too if Wolves, Leicester, Everton amongst others don't bother us with their improvements.

Cant wait till Sunday but still hopeful that we sign someone to create and score goals.

I think Ole is doing his best to try and implement a certain style that will be appeasing to fans however, the success of that I believe is down to whether certain players can be bothered on the day. We have a few players that have all the talent in the world like Rashford, Martial, Pogba to name a few but the problem with them is they are so inconsistent and just don't bother turning up sometimes which is so frustrating. The good news is the new signings seem to be the type of players we want at the club, players who will fight and put in the effort required in every game. So it may take 3 or 4 windows to get these type of players in but I don't think the club will give Ole that much time so then another problem arrises where we bring in yet another manager who will have their own different ideas and want to change things all over again. I hope players like Martial and Rashford can step up, especially if Lukaku goes as it will leave us very short on goals. If they can't step up and the inconsistencies continue then 6th place will be realistic and no higher. If we bring in another player or 2 then that changes completely. The last 3 days of this window will tell us a lot I think. I'm just glad we have sorted out the defence because that has been an issue for a long long time now.

Harry Maguire signed. OFFICIAL. Let's get behind him. Welcome to United. Now. who is next?

I'm very happy with the Maguire and AWB deals. Settles our defence down for the first time in years and will allow the midfield to push up the pitch to implement the high press that Ole seems to be looking to play.

Ideally, I'd like us to get another CM but if we end the window like this and we get another year out of Pogba, providing he knuckles down, I think we're in a much better place than this time last year.

Bring on Sunday!

Hi all, Long time reader first time poster so please be kind. Firstly, I was wondering if any of the eds think any of our remaining transfer business could go down to deadline day. Next Thursday is my day off work so I need to know whether or not to get some beers in and brace myself. Lol.
In all seriousness though, I have seen we have now been linked to 1 or 2 new names like Mandzukic and this winger from Ajax now whom I've never heard of. Non of the eds have mentioned these names before as far as I am aware so I am wondering if this is just paper talk or is it us pushing for alternatives now the window end date is fast approaching. Either wouldn't surprise me as the papers love to talk nonsense when it comes to United but we also have a habit of panic buying too. Can any of the eds shed any light on these new names?
Lastly can we expect any departures in this last week as we surely have to move some guys on?
On a side note I want to thank the eds for all the work they put in to the site to feed our addiction of reading and posting constant drabble and putting up with us on a daily basis. It is appreciated by most and the ones who don't probably eat crayons. Ed002, I would love to hear a sharkopod from you when the transfer window is closed summing up your opinion on each team's signings and what affect you think it will have on the upcoming season. Is this something you could do?

{Ed002's Note - (a) I am afraid that I cannot answer questions about the timing of transfers. (b) I have explained about the interest in Neres (it goes back to when Mourinho was coach) before but was abused by the toxics - hence there is less information being provided on the MU page. Mandzukic I cannot help with but he would be a cheap short term option who at 33 may be open to dropping down a level. (c) The papers do not have anythiong against Manchester United - it is simply paranoia and delusions of self-importance. (d) Yes you can expect departures. (e) There may well be a Sharkopod in the coming days but I have to travel again.}

Thanks for the reply ed. I appreciate any information you are able to provide. When I mentioned the media, I wasn't getting at them having an agenda against United, I just meant at this time of the year they like to link us with every single name and twist facts when it comes to transfers. Hence it is hard to believe anything they say. Well enjoy your travels and I look forward to the sharkopod when ever it may come. Keep up the good work. ci am just going to keep my fingers crossed for Bruno. Out of all the players we are being linked to he is the one I would like to see don the famous red shirt.

{Ed002's Note - That would be because the fans are naive.}
