I enjoy even the odd boring game at Anfield simply because of the atmosphere and the camaraderie in the Kop, so I understand how and why you enjoyed this forgettable game.
Being there often diffuses what is, in effect, the tedious element on those days where on-field quality is somewhat lacking (as it was yesterday) .
As for gulf's in class. For me these are never determined by a single game shoot out but through differences in points achieved across season long campaigns, etc. Your Blue neighbours lost to Norwich earlier this season but, believe me, there is a gulf!

And he should have high expectations. You are Manchester United - as I said before a colossus of English football, the richest club in the World! And you seem content to concede that your players wouldn't get on our bench! Oh how I hated the reverse situation over some years gone by!
I might be a Merseyside Red and we might be bitter rivals but I have respect. BUT as a fan of another colossus my expectations are high, they bloody should be for both sets of fans!
But it is plain and simple that this game was highly forgettable, lacked quality and any form of positive result for either team would have been unwarranted!

Shan - I wholeheartedly agree this was not a decent game played by either team. Neither set of fans (definitely not fans of decent football) can sit back and say they would enjoy their team (be it Man U or Liverpool) playing as they did yesterday. It just was one of those games that are easy to forget!

He didn't watch a different game he just never wore those 'rose-tinted' glasses! :)
