Another poor performance by both team and manager

Have literally given away 5 very winnable points against Everton and West Ham

Mainoo should be given a run in the team and let some of the youth team players have a go.

It was a desperate watch last night.
As soon as we scored and seem we dropped off the pace not winning second balls, defending deeper and deeper and not closing down quickly enough the West Ham goal was always coming.
Amorins in game management was patheting last night and the team weren't much better.
I honestly don't know what to say anymore about this team and manager .

05 Dec 2025 14:00:46
The ceiling for this team under this manager is mid table…awkward but true. If others around us weren’t also crap we’d be in a similar position to last year. Although a few defeats over the next month and we might well be down there again. Don’t see why the manager gets so much grace but that’s just me.

04 Dec 2025 22:09:13
Just so frustrated, slow lethargic, mistakes, bad passing and not 1 player ever gives out, shouts, gets the team working. We are really lacking that strong character in the midfield, someone to drive them, keep them at a high intensity level. We are just throwing points away.

1 point from 10man Everton and westham at home…. would anyone be shocked if we handed wolves their first win this season?! I wouldn’t. This team is the definition of mediocre and can’t be trusted. God help that fan who’s waiting for a haircut, going to end up like Harry from Harry and the Henderson’s at this rate!

04 Dec 2025 22:52:13
Ruben won't get this team winning. I have zero belief in him.

05 Dec 2025 06:20:35
I lost belief in RA a long time ago. He has one plan, the same plan for every game, and it’s a very poor plan.

Many of the players are average at best. But they have shown they can play better than this, yet they are picked every game and play the same.

Why bring in Ugarte and Dorgu? They are both terrible players.

I don’t think Mainoo is the second coming as some do, but if he can’t get a game in this squad his career at United is over.

05 Dec 2025 07:10:12
Let's be honest.

We are only so far up the table as others have left the door open.

We don't have the ability to kill off games. That will always come back to haunt us. Our defence and midfield are not good enough to 'shut up shop'.

Options off the bench are limited and even less so when the manager sticks to the system, no matter the score or personnel available.

I don't see anything improving. We still need midfielders and wing backs for the first 11. Let alone players to fill out the bench for the system.

Mid table is where we belong ATM.

After 45 mins I’m still excited to see this Zirkzee fella that so many rave about.

Because at this point he’s Championship level at best.

Oh. And could someone tell him he’s playing up front!

30 Nov 2025 13:02:52
That aged well. Some of his touches and lay offs were class. He needs rhythm which will come over this period.

30 Nov 2025 13:25:52
Thought he grew into the game, his goal was fantastic. People are so quick to write players off who are thrown in having had zero game time, it’s impossible for anyone to get any momentum.

30 Nov 2025 14:55:30
It's amazing how often you see foolish post's during the course of a game, which by the end of the match look really, really silly. You would think that people would of learned by now, wait for the end of the game if you're going to say something that may come back and bite you.

As said, he scored an excellent goal and although he may well prove to not be good enough, given the amount of minutes he has played this season what chance does he have of finding any consistent form.

04 Dec 2025 17:14:59
You don't Jane to wait for a game for the foolish posts🤣🤣.

25 Nov 2025 19:53:13
There are points over the club as well as the manager.
How did United get to the point where we have only one decent centre forward, young inexperienced with no significant back up other than a 18 year old who doesn’t seem to have developed since last year. Once we had four, now one. How has that happened?
We have two number 10s, one is injured, we have Bruno yet he plays in CM because for years and years the club has not addressed midfield.
Where are the youth in any positions pushing themselves forward?
Most tops clubs have two good players per position, in many we don’t have one.

Then let’s talk manager, team and tactics.
Last night was terrible.
Dorgu was appalling, passed it back, didn’t seem to want to do anything going forward.
Maz was not much better.
I watched, without any intensity we passed the ball between us. Watch it back and the ball rolled slowly to players, they waited on it arriving. That second or two could make a difference, yet it was ponderous. No zip. Where is the demand from the manager to snap to it.
They went down to ten, yet we didn’t adapt, didn’t seize the initiative. Amorim kept the same dull shape as if we were facing prime Madrid with 11 players.
It has to be said it looked like Amorim set the team up and would not adapt. SAF used to wait until 70 mins to make a sub, but that was dire last night.
A few years ago we played Madrid in the Champions League and Nani got sent off. Mourinho was Real boss and instantly changed a player and tactics. No hesitation.
Our manager was indecisive, too cautious. He absolutely must realise where he is, football taught by Busby, attacking football. That should have been the Alamo, yet it wasn’t. He took far too long to make changes.
How Dorgu stayed on so long is beyond me. Put Heaven in at left CB push Shaw much further forward because he is a waste of time at CB.
Our CM is a shambles, we were at home yet set up like we were away, they ran through and past us in there. We saw utter Lackadaisical play, their goal came from a pathetic non challenge from Bruno.

Lastly this club was built on youth, Lacey good enough to be on the bench then use him. He could never have been worse than one or two out there. It looks like Amorim wants to rely on senior players, experience, yet this club grew on the youth getting out there on that stage.

Loud signal last night, one the club needs to hear as well as Amorim.

Rasmus hojlund should of never been let leave red man last night showed that zirkzee is nowhere near good enough.
On a side note Luke Shaw looked dangerous from the left when he got forward but more often that not was hampered by dodgy who was so negative and diogo past it backward dalot.

Amad and mbeumbo were dangerous on the right when it shifted but crosses into the box were never going to beat Everton not with O'Brien tarkowski and Keane fast passesing is the way to beat them and we were so slow just disherating.

24 Nov 2025 22:01:46
So so poor tonight. Everton had 10 men go nearly the entire game but we never really opened them up. That game was crying out for a change to the system and still he won’t adjust. Lots of positives lately but that was a massive step back and a huge wake up call.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Nov 2025 22:18:07
Everton looked like they had 12 for . ost of the match the sending off was probably detrimental actually.
What really annoys me is dalot coming on he spent all his time getting in shaws way who actually looked dangerous off the left then left yoro on who looked way off it zirkzee left everything half a hard short aswell.

Just an overall poor performance all round.

24 Nov 2025 22:36:32
I’d have more respect for the players, if they just fronted it out and stated ‘we just don’t like playing on a Monday evening’
Even RA must have looked at the state of play and thought ‘we don’t need 5 at the back’
We didn’t and never looked like scoring.

Giving RA respect having for having Shea Lacey in the squad? Our midfield might as well been Cagney and Lacey!

24 Nov 2025 22:52:41
Have a little perspective Tim, that was a classic David Moyes Everton backs to the wall defend with 10 men performance, that still required a few top class saves from Pickford, and without both Sesko and Cunha available for us.

Disappointing, absolutely. But we are a long way from the finished article, and sometimes we will get results like this.

{Ed025's Note - come on Shappy, you were awful mate, very slow in the build up and a lack of movement up front, dont make excuses for that performance mate..

24 Nov 2025 23:10:56
Im with ed on this one. Everton were fantastic and defended brilliantly but we made it easy for them. I’m not expecting us to be the finished article, I do expect us to beat a 10 man Everton team at home though. Don’t think I’m being overly harsh in that am I?

{Ed025's Note - your not Tim, all these high profile highly paid superstars and they lack guile, skill and aptitude mate, where was the craft and urgency when you had us camped in our own 3rd for 70 minutes?, you never made that many chances really and if i supported United i would be livid mate..

24 Nov 2025 23:43:12
Credit to yourselves, Keane was fantastic, dewsbury hall was everywhere and scored a great goal. Typical moyes organisation and tactical understanding but you’ve also got quality in there too. Liverpool is blue 🤣.

{Ed025's Note - it is for the moment Tim, it was hard graft but i believe United let us off the hook mate, the quality of your attack and midfield let you down and you really missed Cunah and his energy i feel, you have been good lately but that was a major setback confidence wise and you have to pick yourselves up now and prove this was just a bad day at the office..

25 Nov 2025 10:32:16
Well you say we have been good lately but we have 2 points out of 9 and both with last minute equalisers? Suddenly doesn’t look quite as good does it?

25 Nov 2025 13:19:33
A complete lack of imagination, a game that was there for the taking but we fluffed it.

25 Nov 2025 16:06:45
Ed025, we had no craft or guile in those situations because our wingers were defenders 🤷

Well done, thoroughly deserved 👍.

{Ed025's Note - Dorgu was terrible Noucamp..worst of a bad bunch i would say, a few good crosses from the right but it was bread and butter for the likes of Keane and Tarks mate, i was waiting for that threaded pass and some movement in the box but thankfully for us it never came, i think you missed Cunah big time because for all your possession i dont feel you created that many chances...cheers mate..

26 Nov 2025 22:33:29
Let's be honest, the players fluffed it. We had 25 shots, and had nearly triple the xG that Everton had.

When they scored it was 2 Vs 9, yet we still let them score.

The tactics were not the problem, the tactics meant we created far more chances and restricted them to very few.

The problem is the same issue that has plagued us for years, and will continue to for another 18 months or so. Our squad is poor, the quality of our players is poor, the mentality of the vast majority of them is not up to mustard.

Zirkzee has apparently been asking to leave as he hasn't had the chances he feels he deserves, he had a chance to lay down a marker against Everton, and all he did was prove Amorim's previous team selections were right.

Likewise Amad at RWB is absolutely vital for our team, without him playing there we have to have one of Dalot or Mazraoui playing, and neither are good enough or suitable for the role.

While the less said about the options in midfield the better.

Whether it's Amorim, Sam Allerdyce, or Fred the Red whoever manages us will suffer these sort of results when we have to take out a few key players or when our best players suffer injury, fatigue or a dip in form. Because the back up cast just aren't good enough.

To have a serious title challenge you need 18 players who are all good enough to be first choice. That way not only do you not have a drop off in level when you have to swap a couple of players out, but the competition for places actually pushes everyone and gets the best out of them.

Right now we don't even have 11 players good enough, we need another 8 or 9 players to complete this squad rebuild. And until those players are here and performing at that level then we will suffer "shock" defeats from time to time.

Once again, looking forward to our next game tomorrow which has been a rarity in recent seasons. You’re only as good as your next game and it’s a good weekend with either or both Villa or Liverpool dropping points and same for Bournemouth or City and Tottenham or Chelsea.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Amorim sets up and approaches the game. A lot is spoken about a “style of play” but what has impressed me is that the last two games, Amorim has set up very differently the way the team played to counter the opposition which is brilliant and shows that the team is capable of adapting for the team in front of them. The basics have remained the same but little tweaks have really given us an edge in what most people would have had down as two defeats for us. Really hope the momentum continues with us this weekend.

Fizz,

We won, he will be back when we lose, rinse and repeat.

26 Oct 2025 16:19:06
You will be seeing him no time soon.

26 Oct 2025 18:38:31
UA,

Guess that means because we won’t lose for a while but it sounds quite sinister, like you’ve killed him off 😂.

27 Oct 2025 07:18:29
UA and GDS2 😂.

27 Oct 2025 11:28:28
GDS2, he himself kills off his personality every time we win. So he would have hacked off a couple of them in the last 2 weeks i guess and should be back with a new one. I just hope that it is no time soon.

28 Oct 2025 19:31:30
He’s returned, talking the same old nonsense on the main page.

28 Oct 2025 20:30:18
Lads you're throwing buns to an elephant. Don't feed the ego. No mention - like he doesn't exist is tyke only way.

25 Oct 2025 20:31:53
Played excellently for 80 mins, bit of a panic near the end, but how enjoyable was that, definitely moving in the right direction now. Up at 4th for a while a least. The Red machine is waking up again, good times are coming!

Watching the team walkout today feels like we’re a little better and a little stronger for the back to back wins. A tougher proposition. Come on lads.
