Rumours we may make another bid for Branthwaite be please tly surprised if we did but I'd imagine Maguire and lindelof are going if we do.
Would also probably give some merit to the rumours Yoro could be out a little longer than feared.

Yeah. I heard Yoro might not be back until next year, in which case it makes sense to sign another CB (especially with our injury record) .

I wouldn't want Yoro rushed back. He's young, his body is still growing/ developing. He needs to be given the time he needs to fully recover.

I can't see United signing a £70m player just because of an injury. Would prefer midfield targets in personally.

Don't think it's just because of the injury, think Maguire and lindelof would have to leave as well.
When Yoro back we could also use Martinez as DM cover? Seems like we aren't doing great at getting our preferred midfield options in so could make sense.

they are bored and writing up bs as not much to write about. its generally one online outfit and the rest pick it up and looks like a major story. until ornstein says something its just click bait imo.

Strength in depth. That's what Utd have been lacking.
EtH could even switch to a back 3 with Yoro, Martinez and MdL and Shaw and Dalot as WB. That would allow Hojoind and Zirkzee to play up top together.
Sometimes it is about having the players that can a different formation.

Martinez isn't going to be DM cover, he might cover LB though.
I also would not be shocked to see by the season end starting three CB rather than playing with a 4 and trying to then create the extra man in midfield through being too cute, he hasn't really made it work yet with the various ways he has tried.

MH having similar thoughts to me, although I think the system that would suit us best would be more akin to Cryuffs 343 with two DM and two more advanced midfield (Bruno and Mount) and then bringing width higher off Hojlund/ Zirkzee
If playing wingbacks I would like to see zirkzee and bruno playing off Hojlund, the crosses then will allow Hojlund and Zirkzee to attack the ball in the air.

That's a good call. It certainly allows the team to play different formations and perhaps take the team to the next level. The key signing for me, would have been Ugarte. He would have been the missing link.

I agree about Ugarte and its a shame that it appears unlikely to happen.
And no Fuser not at all. There are several ways of playing depending on the opponents and resources available. I was merely pointing out you can play the system with wingbacks or higher width off the striker or even using a false nine and you wide forwards playing even more advanced.
If you are dominating possession and confident in your players I dare say you could even deploy a traditional winder in the WB role if you so wished.
But no the idea would not be that Garnacho would not be a key component going forward.
