There was discussion on Bruno replacements, I threw in Olmo as an option.
Ed back in April you mentioned UTD might offer a wildcard option, is that still the case?

{Ed002's Note - Pwerhaps but I suspect they have moved on.}

He definitely would be a contender as Bruno replacement, if Bruno was to go. Not many others out there from what I've seen.

On a side note. Yamal is one hell of a prospect. Is he destined to stay at Barcelona for the foreseeable, or are the likes of City etc sniffing around already?

Olmo was the first midfielder in my Euros fantasy football team. I think he's an excellent player, Jimbo ?.

Olmo has been fantastic for Spain, he's even displaced Pedri in the line up.

This is a very talented young Spanish side that is emerging. They haven't even taken players like Gavin who is injured.

Looking to the future they do look like they are missing a great striker, but then with Williams and Yamal they could look to a false 9 type player if they don't have a top class striker.

I think it doesn't matter who gets through between England and Netherlands as I don't see either as being able to keep Spain from scoring and neither have the ability to outscore them either.

Not sure he can be credited with displacing someone who left the field on a stretcher, but fair play he's taken his chances when given them and looks like the difference at the moment. Seem to remember him being linked a few years ago.
I can't say that very many players or teams have caught the eye at the Euros. 3 of the semi finalists have been completely underwhelming. Maybe a sign of things to come with burn-out. Surprised to hear that no direct freekicks have been scored either.

Pedri is injured.

While Pedri's injury kept him out last night, the rumours were that Olmo was likely to start ahead of him anyway.

He's certainly played better than Pedri this tournament.

I think this tournament has been underwhelming, with Spain being the only side to consistently play well.

It does feel like a lot of the players are running on empty. Probably because this is the second international tournament many of them have played in the past 18 months.

Pedri is out for the rest of the tournament and probably longer, so Olmo was never starting ahead of him last night, since he was'nt available.

He won't admit he was wrong Forrester :D

Spenno, how did Holland underperform exactly?
