Ok It's not my information, but the glazers are apparently willing to sell some of there control in the football club, whether it's to re invest or for there pocket I don't know.

Don't shoot the messenger I rarely post anything I'm told even when it turns out to be true.

Agree0 Disagree0

We all know it will be to line their own pockets.

You think they would clear the debt and be able to use the clubs money to actually invest in the club.

Invest in the ground/ facilities would not surprise me.

10 May 2022 22:18:10
Bolger why would they do that?
The lack of understanding of business and finance leads to so much frustration and lots of stupid talk.

10 May 2022 23:09:24
Maybe be good owners and invest in a dieing stadium? Sub par training facilities.

10 May 2022 23:10:34
I really don't think that'd be possible. Selling shares in a company and then diluting the value by effectively paying a dividend to a preferred shareholder doesn't strike me as tenable.

10 May 2022 23:19:11
If they are just selling some shares then what they do with that money is their own business too.

11 May 2022 07:17:30
Bolger it's not the clubs money why can't you understand that. It's their money.

11 May 2022 09:04:02
Your right ken its not, but the debt on the club came from them buying it. There should be rules that when selling shares they have to clear this before taking money, as that is their debt not the clubs. Once that is done then people cannot complain about the money they get from selling shares. People will always complain about dividend payments.

{Ed002's Note - It is unrelated to the debt. There is equity in the club. If they wish to sell some or all of that it is absoloutely fine.}

11 May 2022 09:04:55
Your right in a way ken, but they never used there own money to buy the club in the first place, using the club to pay off the loan they got.

Doesnt look good does it, the owners selling shares then pocketing the money when the infrstruter is rotting away.

We can't knock them for spending money on players because over the last 9 years we have spend enough and failed.

But they need to invest in other parts of the club.

Does anyone on here own a buy to let property?

The principal being that you borrow money (via a mortgage) to buy a property, you then let it out and the money paid by the tennant pays off the mortgage. Effectively making someone else buy you a house.

Where are the pitchfork and torches and the angry mobs kicking off about this method of "robbery".

It's effectively what the Glazers have done on a bigger scale.

It's business and that's that.

Are they good owners? Well they have allowed over 1.4bn in transfer fees be spent in the last 10 years alone. They have allowed the club to have the highest wage bill in the league. Both things done in an attempt to keep the club competitive on the pitch. As frankly there is absolutely no other reason to have such a large outlay on something like the squad.

They also take a hands off approach, they don't treat our club like a fantasy football club, or like they are playing FIFA manager. They appreciate they have little understanding as such don't get too involved in areas they don't understand.

The problem the Glazers have made is to not make a comprehensive overhaul of the football club structure when Sir Alex left. They entrusted the wrong people with the power and as such the club have slumped.

Bolger I'm not right 'on a way I'm just right and your talking nonsense about stuff you need a better understanding of before you write because it's foolish stuff.

The dirty rotters how dare they take their own money out of their own business .
