Inter in talks to sign Ashley Young apparently.

Agree3 Disagree0

Bit of a daft move letting him go considering Shaw is useless and Dalot is injured most of the time.

07 Jan 2020 22:41:00
Rather than send all our players to inter and watch them be coached by a proper manager, wouldn’t it be simpler to get a proper manager?

Will we have enough to fill the subs bench after this month is over?

So, the last 4 years everyone is crying (including me) to shift Young. And now suddenly everyone says we should keep him. We have Dalot, Shaw, Bissaka, Williams. What's the problem to let him go? If someone gets injured, we do have a youth team to cover, or am I wrong.

Sooner Shaw had the manners to admit he isn't good enough for our team and pisses off . Young is much better at both defending and also is a threat going forward.

100% agree Ziko. Laird is a good prospect at full back as well so he could fill in if there were a few injuries.

Our season isn't going great anyway and while getting rid of the likes of Young, Matic, Lingard, Jones etc would weaken our squad numbers, people (including me) have been hoping for years that we would find a way to get rid of the players who clearly aren't at the standard needed. This is a chance to do so and subsequently if he wants to go I'd say we should be fine with that.

Maybe because u can't include Shaw or Dalot in that list because neither can be relied upon.

08 Jan 2020 11:37:19
And Young is more reliable? Shaw is better at defending and are both awful when attacking.

08 Jan 2020 11:58:37
Looks like a pre contract agreement for the summer which suits everyone I think.

08 Jan 2020 12:00:45
Shaw is better at defending? Do you actually watch him play? The guy is awful he's never in position for a start. Young offers more defensively and gets forward also in support where as shaw never even gets forward he just stops and passes it back. So in answer to your question, yes he is a lot more reliable.

Shaw and Dalot have hopeless injury records too unless you haven't noticed that either? Clueless.

08 Jan 2020 13:32:42
I understand now. You are Ashley's biggest fan. That's alright, pal, nobody's perfect.

08 Jan 2020 14:18:44
He gives a hell of a lot more than Shaw. Plus Shaw's been injured for a lot of his United career. Same goes for Dalot.

If Young goes to Inter, and I wish him the best of luck if he does, that just leaves DDG and Phil Jones who have won a Premier League title with United in our squad.
