Sancho for me is very overrated, yes he does well for Dortmund but when I watch him on the international stage I don't think he would be suited to the premier league.

Now I'm not saying he can't improve but I really do hope united look past him to other targets.

{Ed002's Note - Whilst there is interest from Manchester United the player, by the summer, may not be interested in dropping down a level to join, so Manchester United can indeed look elsewhere.}

Compare him to all the ‘youngsters’ at United. He’s head and shoulders above the likes of Chong and Gomes. He’s the same age as Chong who some fans are saying should be in our first team. Have you watched him consistently in the Bundeliga? He really could be world class.

As bad as we are right now. I would rather the club focus on players who don't view us as a step down due to the current lack of champions league football. That way we attract persons who genuinely want to join and help the club return to its former glory. No unnecessary large wages to entice a player to join.

If players are choosing a club based on the cup they are in then they are welcome to go where they wish. If Sanchez thinks United is a step down from Dortmund then his head needs a wobble.

{Ed002's Note - Maybe “Sanchez” realises it is a club run by amateurs with a coach who is not up to the job?}

Dani Olmo wouldn't be a bad alternative if we can't get Sancho.

Ed002 is completely right.

Sancho is playing for a CL club, and will have the pick of top EPL and European sides in the summer.

I think some of our supporters need to check their arrogance at the door and realise that top class players will be hesitant to join us. Since SAF retired we have used high wages to entice players, but this has resulted in uncommitted players here only for the cash.

Manchester isn’t the most exiting place for a young lad to live, and we’re still a far way off being able to compete for the biggest trophies. Players that want to advance their careers will look at us over the last number of seasons, and rightly be unconvinced that we’re a good move for their career.

I’m not arrogant Danny. Whatever our current travails, we pay well, we remain one of the biggest names, we will still attract players. There have always been players who didn’t want to play for us, I’m just getting bored of the ‘step down’ jibe.

We must accept that at the moment we are in a lull still reeling from the retirement of one of the greatest football managers that ever lived.

Sancho as of the of world's leading young players will no doubt have his choice of Clubs. He will ultimately make the best choice for him based on his career.

There appears to have been a change of emphasis and recruitment strategy at the Club over the past few months. I sincerely hope that Ole can lead our new and exciting young team back towards the top. On occasions when the likes of Rashford, Martial, James and Pogba click we play the most exciting, thrilling brand of football we've seen in years. The next step is for them to perform more consistently and our recruitment in January and over the summer will be critical to Ole's chances of success.

AJH, it may not be a step down from Dortmund, but it is certainly a step down from the other clubs that will show interest. Unless you are a United fan, there are better career moves for a young talented player. The negatives of the club far outweigh the positives at the moment. We have owners that see no difference in 4th than 1st. We have a structure that seems to get the majority of decisons wrong. A manager who is like a toddler learning to walk, a few nice steps forward and then he falls on his arse and rubbishs himself.

I'm very happy with the 3 signings this summer. A few more in that vein and a season or two of progressing up the table and we may be able to get the likes of Sancho to join. It's telling that Dybala and Eriksson both turned us down. We're not the draw we used to be but that's alright. Our transfer strategy over the last 5 years wasn't working. We should cut our cloth accordingly and look for hungry players and we'll get there. It's time for our army of scouts to earn their crust.

Have you ever actually been to Dortmund? Not exactly the cultural centre of Europe either.

If these young lads are basing on it where to live, they’d all be fighting to play for London, Paris, Amsterdam or Barcelona based clubs.

United are one of the biggest attractions in world football, it's as simple as that. Some may opt for a Barcelona or Real as they always have done and yes money is everywhere nowadays but United will always be a big draw no matter what.

He should try a night out in Scunthorpe. It's all rock and roll.

Bastian Schweinsteiger German legend came here and did nothing
Shinji Kagawa Bundesliga player of the season, came here and did nothing
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Bundesliga player of the year, came here and did nothing.
There's a few gems in their league but they generally don't let them go.
I think we still need a centre back more importantly, Koulibaly all out for me.

16 Nov 2019 19:25:49
Good potential really good. Like hudson odoi like rash who imo is ahead of both. In a couple of years time perhaps foden abraham mount gomes and garner can join that group.
All have a lot of talent. They need to make good decisions and have a bit of luck.

16 Nov 2019 22:09:02
If no one else is prepared to pay as much for Sancho as we are then we stand a chance of signing him.

However, if he has the choice is signing for us or for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus or PSG then it's likely he will go elsewhere, and if we are honest who could blame him at the moment?

The club doesn't have a clear plan and is several years away from competing at the top level at least.

I think there are much more important areas to address than right wing or centreback. The back four looks workable for me until summer. Central mid is where the problems are. It’s the weakest selection of options that I can recall in a United squad for decades. A creative player in the mould of (for example) Eriksen, Fernandes or Maddison has to be the priority for me with a dynamic defensive midfielder not far behind. I would take any of Leicester’s midfielders in a heartbeat. Saying that these players won’t be available in January. Maybe a loan option for the remainder of the season, in the way Ibra was able to come in? These players are out there. Cebellos looks like one of Arsenal’s best players at the moment, on loan from Real.

17 Nov 2019 10:46:57
Mad Hatter, I'm from Scunthorpe lol.

17 Nov 2019 11:09:12
Haha, Herbie, small world.

19 Nov 2019 12:12:02
difference is he would walk into our starting 11,

he wouldn't be sure of starting at other clubs linked with him.
