Ed002,

Is there anything new regarding Sanchez leaving?

Much appreciated!

{Ed002's Note - Roma were told he wants to stay in Manchester and have moved on.}

I'll imagine Sanchez will run his contract down.

Thanks for the reply Ed.

Have a great day!

Hatter that'll be the most effective running he manages in his time here.

Mort,

Quality.

Let’s see what happens. Hopefully OGS can get a tune out of him.

Eric is Ole going to put a piano in the canteen?

16 Aug 2019 00:24:29
Let's give Sanchez a chance. He had a rubbish season last year but maybe I'd we get behind him he might turn things around. Let's be honest he was a really good player at Arsenal and most of us were delighted when he signed.

Hrs had chances and he's only going to decline from here.

16 Aug 2019 07:24:01
Salford what has he done in a United shirt to warrant another chance?

Jesse is ahead of him and now arguably James and Greenwood too. James has already achieved 33% of what Sanchez has achieved. Difference is James did it in 20 minutes whereas Sanchez has had 18 months.

If he was serious about turning things around at United he should’ve pulled out of that international tournament to focus on his fitness and getting ready to claim his place in the team. But instead he came back injured and still isn’t match fit. You can’t keep giving chances to someone who isn’t willing to make it work for himself.

At this stage, let Sanchez leave on a free looks like the best option for both parties, no?

17 Aug 2019 21:46:35
According to DiMarzio Inter have agreed terms with Sanchez but not yet with United.

18 Aug 2019 08:13:56
Widely reported that Inter are in the frame?

18 Aug 2019 14:34:32
@dev1l In Sanchez's case agreeing his salary is more difficult than agreeing deal with United.

18 Aug 2019 15:08:18
@midfield_maestro
The proposed agreement apparently consists of a loan move for 1 year and option to buy next season set at 15m. While on loan, United will have to pay part of Sanchez salary.
Depends a lot on the amount.

18 Aug 2019 20:00:50
How about they take him for free now with no £15m to pay next year. We don't pay any more wages and throw Rojo and Darmian in for free. Everyones a winner.

19 Aug 2019 10:49:58
If we've got to pay some of his wages he should stay and knuckle down. Paying anything for a player to play for someone else is just a joke if you ask me.

19 Aug 2019 13:13:37
Why is that Damon? We gave Sanchez a massive contract.

It makes financial sense to subsidise some of the wages if the player moves, as the club he pays for is paying a portion of the wages and we are no longer left with the burden of 100% of his salary.

It also gets him away from the first team so we've not got a miserable player dragging others down.

19 Aug 2019 16:04:27
Exactly. If he's having rows with people in training that's going to affect the atmosphere. Its best he goes. Hopefully he impresses enough for them to take up the option.

19 Aug 2019 16:27:50
Well if a player isn't playing for our club and for another team they should be paying his wages. Just shows how bad the club is run to pay ridiculous wages in the first place. hasn't Sanchez had his wages cut by 25% like everybody else? It does seem now though this summer we've taken a different approach and walked away from stupid deals.

20 Aug 2019 12:13:05
It's not as simple as that Damon. Sanchez has every right to see out the remaining years of his contract on full pay. If we can offload him, and negotiate a deal which costs the club less in the long term, that surely makes more sense than keeping a player on full salary who has no impact on the team.
