If the rumours are to believed a CF, CDM and possibly a GK, could still arrive. Ineos will expect European football with that investment and Champions league football. Tall order, but depending on the players, if we get them 3 more, you never know, having no mid weeks games will help too.

Our target is top 8, that's it. Expect no more from the outset and you won't be disappointed all season.

Realistically we will likely finish somewhere between 8th and 5th.
We will improve the squad, the manager will have more time to get them drilled, and we will have less games and travelling this season.
All things that help us with performances and results.
However, we do not exist in a vacuum, and other clubs are improving as well. Liverpool and Chelsea look to have recruited very well, while Arsenal and City have also improved.
Given all four clubs were a long way ahead of us last season and they have improved further, it seems madness to think we could finish above any of them.
If we do it'll probably be as much because they have surprisingly declined for some reason as much as how far we have improved.

This is a process. It's not anticipated by the new management team that it will take just 1 summer window, especially given the state of our finances, lack of European football and likely reduced revenues, plus PSR issues. A Europa slot next year plus a couple of good cup runs with maybe one ending in a trophy would be a great outcome for 2025/ 26. Berrada was clear last year. By 2028 we want to be serious title contenders and once again feared opponents.
