The optimist in me is hoping that if arsenal sign the Chelsea Winger that it opens the door for them to make a move for garnacho.
Its a wonder why arsenal didn't move for garnacho.
Just waiting patiently for some good news.

There was some articles suggesting Garnacho has put potential suitors off due to his high wage demands.

This is what football is now, players care more for the money than re igniting their careers

Look at Sancho a prime example, could have gone to Chelsea but wouldn’t lower his wages.

There’s been other articles about clubs wanting sancho but he won’t lower his wages, Juve want him but can’t afford his wages

I’m not so sure we are going to be able to sell sancho rashford and garnacho

It’s a very slow window, quite worrying when everyone who we are aiming to catch are improving and investing and we seem to be in holiday mode.

I'm not sure on the facts with academy players etc but Madueke isn't one of Chelsea's, so it's not £50m of profit for them, and they're selling to balance the books - wouldn't signing a (one assumes) more expensive Garnacho counter that?

{Ed001's Note - they are selling Madueke because of his attitude problems.}

Ken, I'm intrigued about Arsenal's situation with Gyokeres. If Arsenal get Madueke for £50m and I believe they have got the Sociedad boy for similar, are they in a position to spend the same again on Gyokeres? It's gone quiet on that front with them but hard to believe Arsenal will spend north of £150M on 3 players. I appreciate I have no understanding of their financial position but I am waiting on that one transfer that might kick off the domino effect. Could be the Madueke one to do this maybe?

Hard to know ports.
Im hoping for something similar.
We need to sell before we buy.
Bolger the players have great contracts and don't want to walk away from millions.
Not so much the case for garnacho but this is likely to be the biggest move of his career and he will want the best terms he can get.
When I was employed I'd never have moved for less money than I was guaranteed by staying put.
There will be a domino effect at some point. Let's hope its sooner rather than later.
The 'for sale' players are holding firm at the moment as are any potential buyers.
We don't have to panic sell just yet as that also hinders potential buys.
Its not ideal but there should be no panic.
The gossip and title tattle reported online is akin to 2 old ladies gossiping in the supermarket and the fact its lapped up by our unbelievably gullible and incredibly naive fans is no surprise.
Just because a report online says something its not necessarily true. A lot of fans appear to be a bunch of drama queen's imo.

Bunch of drama queen's at time.

Utds money problems make it easier for clubs to low ball them. Utd need to sell players to bring further players.

I did read an article that suggested that UTD should receive roughly £22 million from player sell-on fees this summer.

To me I would be extremely concerned with Gyokores something not quite right there with him, no one actually beating the door down for him, we don’t even know for sure if RA thinks he can hack it in the epl and he knows him first hand.

None of us have no idea who the club are looking at, but I do know for a fact, it’s not this one out one in, that’s trying to be portrayed, like Starmer/ Macron shambles, if a player is available that the club wants today, tomorrow next week it will go, it does not depend on Rashford, Sancho etc sale, that’s just more made up tittle tattle of the 2 old ladies in the supermarket that one is referring too.

Ports

I've seen it mentioned that Arsenal began the transfer window with PSR wriggle room of £140-£150m, so it could certainly be possible for them to spend £150m on three players - if, of course, the three address significant issues on the pitch.

I do think that Zubimendi, with his poise and composure, along with his metronomic passing game, will allow Arsenal to fully unleash Rice as an 8.

Gyokeres will thrive at Arsenal, and Arsenal need a proper No9 more than anything else.

For me, Madueke at £40-£50m makes no sense. Saka, Nwaneri and Martinelli are all, imo, far superior players with no attitude issues. I think Arsenal would be better served not insulting Valencia with derisory offers for CB Mosquera.
If Arsenal started the domino effect by buying Madueke, I'd laugh because, imo, he's not the type of player they need.

With Chelsea, I'd laugh even more if they bought Garnacho.
You'd think they'd want to avoid an even worse bundle of self-importance, but then again, he does qualify as a 'home-grown' player which, for a team like Chelsea, means he could take his place in the squad and allow Chelsea more flexibility with youngsters going out on loan while also helping to make prospective sales/ loans of players like Sterling, Gilchrist and Chukwuemeka more appealing.

For us, while it's the waiting game, the sale of Garnacho would be pure profit, yet we are in need of a buyer.
However, I just can't see Chelsea buying him though, irrespective of 'home-grown' status. They've just bought Gittens for LW, would they spend big on another LW when Joao Pedro can tick that box too? On the right, they have 2 far superior players in Neto and Estevao. Next summer, Quenda arrives for LW.
Imo, Garnacho, for all his talent, would be wasted by moving to Chelsea and they would need to suddenly become reckless by buying a potential disruptor with easily less in his locker than the options they already have.

Spendy Spurs would be a good fit for him, but would he and his baggage be a good fit for them?

And we are only selling Rashford and Garnacho because there attitude problems, add Sancho to that too then we have the Rasmus ego to go with it, appears to be a pattern involving with these multimillionaire ego’s who would have thought that would happen!
