Hopefully our preseason tour is used to get the players used to playing the RA system and not just another tour with lots of kids how won't be near tge squad come the start of the season. RA has said he needed time to get the system across to the players, we have a tough start and we need to be ready Hopefully a few new faces, and few young players coming through.

The players had six months to adapt to the system and failed miserably. According to many Football Manager fans, half of them likely won’t even be here next season - so why waste more time trying to force it?
Ideally, we’d have signed a few more players who actually fit the system before preseason, giving RA time to work with them. Instead, we’ve got just one confirmed signing and the same deadweight from last season.

According to multiple statements from Sporting fans, a full pre season is crucial for Amorim. They say its when he does his work. I understand that the last decade has been hard and it's been tough to watch sometimes. Trust me, that comes from somebody that has spent the majority of it living behind enemy lines. It has been awful ?
Ineos have done some thing's that have been hard to take. The last 6 months since Amorim joined have been tough. Don't forget that he didn't want the job til the summer. He said the storm was coming and it did. He has said that the good times are coming.
How about a bit of optimism? Let's give him his shot. C'mon United!

I’m hopeful for the new season rather than optimistic.
I’m surprised and a little annoyed that a team that finished 15th, hasn’t sold any players and only brought one player in when pre-season starts in less than a week.
I fully understand there’s a lot more window to go. But you need to make a good start to the season or RA won’t be there to see the end of it.
Not much will change next season without some significant changes to the squad and first 11. And it won’t help the team if any changes come in the last week or two of the window when the season has already started. And we all have to wait weeks and months for the new players to settle in and learn the system.
I’m just surprised they haven’t got much more done sooner, like City, Liverpool and Chelsea have.

Surely Rashford, Malacia, Sancho and Antony all coming back from their loans is like a new signing in itself.
We know the most important signing will be a striker, whomever we get let’s hope they hit the ground running, because our season will depend on it.

I am not sure how much they are able to do mid season on a complete reset of the play style, with games coming every few days with the need to prepare for that. add in the injuries we had.
Everything from the begining when Amorim declared he wanted to come at the end of the year to prepare properly, statement early that it was going to be pain before it got better. all bared out.
Now whether he will turn it round only time will tell but I like him and think it will work out given time. He needs a good pre-season and hopefully key transfers in as early as possible. I think lots is going on behind the scenes and we may see a run of movement both in and out soon.
