Hi new to site so please don’t shoot me down!
With all strikers I see we’re linked with I can see flaws in each potential signing.
Not proven in prem, playing in foreign league, too young, wage demands high, transfer fee high, etc
My view would be to attempt to sign Ollie Watkins.
Proven in prem, with cunha, Diallo, fernandes providing him he ll score . I don’t think he ll be massively expensive .
Could potentially do deal with Rashford or Garnacho / sancho .
Obviously player has got to want to come but am I right villa need to unload some players due to PSR.
Sorry in advance if this has already been mentioned .

Least he can finish, which is more than can be said for our two so called strikers.

It's a reasonable shout, although he's not a long term solution. I share your reservations about others, signing a successful EPL striker is definitely a sensible move, hence Cunha and Mbuemo. Add in Watkins and that's 50 goals.

I think this would make sense if the deal doesn't cost millions, hence like you say maybe something could be done with sancho going the other way, a prem proven goalscorer who isn't that old for 2 or 3 seasons because like you say most other options are an expensive risk.

Watkins as a short term option is definitely a good shout and would offer us something different especially if we were then also looking at a young option to bring through.
Issue I see is whether they would be willing to pick up the wages of Sancho/ Rashford and whether any of them would be willing to go to Villa permanently without Champions League.
Wages are the sticking point genrally for a deal on Sancho/ Rashford and we may have to loan to clear down or pay off some wages. Garnacho will be his heigtened sense of worth and the type of clubs that he would be willing to go to.
I see Spurs as a potential option if in PL or clubs in Italy.
