Get the feeling Brentford will try and drag this mbeumo deal out to try and bring spurs to the table. With frank going there it might change things for him, either way creating a bidding war is good for them so why not. Hopefully we can get this over the line this week.

{Ed077's Note - or maybe Brentford just have too much on their plate right now ? Could the financial year also have something to do with it? Or, maybe the fact that neither club are involved in the CWC means both aren't as rushed for it ?
I'm just speculating

Could be all of the above ed, your right. Losing frank will be a big loss for them so they are spinning a lot of plates atm.

{Ed077's Note - they've lost their GK, their star boy is looking at the exit door and their manager is getting interest from other club. Plus I'm sure they're getting attention on their other players too, Wissa mainly. It's getting to be a big summer ahead for Brentford. Might be a tough season ahead if things don't go the right way for them.

Would of been good to get get deal done so it could be registered before transfer window closes tomorrow.
As the player cannot be registered until window reopens on 16th maybe it takes some of the pressure off negotiations, still expect things to conclude satisfactorily though.

{Ed077's Note - why? why does it the CWC transfer deadline matter to us?

Ed, sorry, not too sure what you mean, but there are 2 windows open this summer aren't there? 1st-10th June and then 16th June-1st Sept. So you cannot register any signings during 11th-15th June, although they can be agreed prior to that.
I just meant as any deal cannot be registered it may take some of the pressure of negotiations, especially if Brentford have other issues they are prioritising.

{Ed077's Note - and what does Utd gain by rushing the registration for Mbuemo? it doesn't matter much for non CWC clubs as I see it. Well I guess Mbuemo can go on holiday as a Utd player instead of Brentford player ?

Wow, not talking about rushing anything, merely having the whole deal fully completed.
As you say in terms of playing it does not affect us, but surely better for all parties to have all aspects satisfactorily concluded.
