Jimbobred has written an article entitled, Tweaking The Manchester United Squad.
02 Jun 2025 11:03:56
Changed your mind a lit from the one you posted a couple of days ago???.
02 Jun 2025 12:23:18
Yes Ken, it states that in the opening sentence.
I still believe the initial squad would be competitive, however, I accept that we live in a world where instant success is required, so have tweaked it accordingly.
02 Jun 2025 12:27:08
And Ken, it is an extra 4-5 players from my original list, which is in line with what most on here are talking about.
You could join the discussion and bring something to the table, or you could choose to be the disruptive Ken. I know which Ken the site probably prefers.

Garcia Dorgu Amad Yoro Heaven Branthwaite Ugarte Ederson Cunha Mbeumo Osimhen
Problem with that apart from not being convinced Amad can defend well enough and Dorgu not looked great and certainly would not have Ugarte in any team and would put Cass in front of him all day long, is the drop off for substitutes/ squad is alarming, Osimhen injured we are back to no goals Rasmus
Rasmus will be sold
Garnacho will be sold
Mainoo will possibly be sold
Amad not done himself any favours off the pitch on this tour either! Which would be sad if that don’t go down well with owners.

Jimbob when I made the point that your last squad lacked goals you have another smart arse answer so practise what you preach.
02 Jun 2025 13:00:31
Do you breathe when you respond Helmet?
In the wingback role, Dalot is the likely first stand in, not bad.
Centre back, MdL, Licha and Mazraoui not too bad
Midfield, yes you have an issue with Ugarte. Most don't. Also Mainoo and Kone will be more than capable stand ins.
I have state Garnacho is sold, not sure if your issue here, but mount and Zirkzee as stand ins, not bad.
Striker, Rasmus and Obi as stand ins. Obi will continue to get minutes and if presented with an opportunity might take, you certainly don't know that, and you also don't know if Rasmus will be sold.
Tbf your counter that the drop in quality is alarming doesn't really hold firm does it.
Typical helmet response.

I feel a few of the mooted suggestions like Ederson and particularly Osimhen won't be up for a new challenge, they'll be looking for a more established project that needs icing, not rebuilding. I think we need to look a rung down the ladder personally.
Something that hasn't arisen much in the event of Fernandes leaving is who the potential captain would be. Assuming it isn't a new player, and that Maguire wouldn't be up for a second run at it, I think it could only be de Ligt or Martinez. They seem most vocal and communicative on the pitch anyway.
02 Jun 2025 14:09:49
Jimbob you have an opinion which can't be proven. Your debating hypotheticals. Everybody is as wrong an right as you are.
You have no experience of managing a pro football team your just a bike with an opinion. It won't be proven. So your response is a bit daft. Your right in your own head and mind but that's where it's stops.
02 Jun 2025 16:39:03
Jimbo, all those players you say can come in and are not too bad are the exact players that nearly everyone says are not good enough currently and all the same players that got us in this position, why is it they are going to become some sort of superstars
Rasmus comes in he can’t score
Martinez the midget comes in he gets targeted or injured
Deligt and the fridge on his back comes in…great
Dalot will be in before Dorgu everyday of the week
Zirkee comes in. he can’t score
Mainoo comes in, not got the legs
Ugarte can’t pass a ball 10 yards
But somehow you think that all these will suddenly be good enough! Mind boggles… plus maybe leave out the racist names!
02 Jun 2025 19:14:33
How am I being racist, Helmet?
02 Jun 2025 19:18:35
So Helmet, you say we need more quality, so regularly slate what we have.
What is your suggestion for a squad capable of moving up the table.
Rather than just provide a negative opinion on EVERY post on the site like a depressed parrot churning out the same desperate rhetoric, why don't you engage the neurons between your ears and put forward a solution to the problems you keep spouting.
02 Jun 2025 19:21:01
Spenno, I don't disagree that we are a rung or even two down the ladder, however this is still Manchester United, we should still be aspiring for the top. The signings suggested, assuming we can move on certain players, are not a massive outlay and they change the team considerably.
02 Jun 2025 19:27:20
Ken, what smart arse comment? That you weren't thinking straight? You were critical of the previous squad, I said it wasn't that bad, we disagreed. I have now tweaked it in line with comments made about the wholesale changes made and added a few names, as suggested. I even stated that at the start of this post. Again the mind boggles with some people.
And again, bring something to the discussion.
