McTom and Lukaku scoring as Napoli head for the Serie A title. Would we have been a better team with those two rather than Hojlund and Zirkzee? We would have saved some money too. McTom was an absolute. steal.

Napoli have a top manager, don't overlook that, not everyones cup of tea but Conte is a very serious coach.

23 May 2025 22:05:39
And Anthony has scored for Betis.

23 May 2025 22:06:10
Darmian and Miki in the Inter squad to come second and be in Champions League final.

23 May 2025 22:39:39
Let’s not pretend all the above mentioned set the club alight they didn’t.

They have found their level in a team that suits them in teams with much less pressure where they are getting 90 percent less attention by the media because it’s United and everything is blown 10 times worse.

23 May 2025 23:18:33
Hey Bolger, have they found their level or have they found an environment they can flourish in? There’s a clear pattern forming of players leaving us and playing well elsewhere. Maybe a bit of both.

24 May 2025 01:02:38
Amz do you remember how bad Lukaku was and how much he was slated on here, everyone wanted him gone.

Mctominay was a tough one personally he would have been a good squad player but I’m glad he’s doing well he’s a top professional although not the best he gave it 100 percent and ran his balls off.

I think they have found there level, look at Antony no one in here can say he’s been hard done by United or wasn’t in a great space he was absolutely terrible and has found his level in a much less physical and demanding league.

Some players cannot adapt to the English game look at Veron for example looked great in Europe but in the prem was awful.

24 May 2025 01:54:30
Lakaku may have been bad here, but nowhere near as bad as Rasmus…
McT was always a stupid sale, but I have said many times ETH bought in worse than he got rid off.
I can’t agree with your statement about less limelight, that’s narrow vision, having lived in Italy and spain along with Germany the press are every bit as volatile if Madrid lose in a final its front page news and been in a black paper before, Italy is no better, they are absolutely scathing in the press about teams, Germany same with Bayern, don’t for on e minute think it’s the big bad press in UK that just pick on us!

24 May 2025 07:02:14
Lukaku couldn’t control a ball passed to him, he needed it in front of him to run on to where he could use his pace and strength. However I recall reading an article where the coach, I think Conte got his coaches working on him all summer to improve that. He scored and still scores goals which is something we don’t have. Still I don’t yearn for him.

McT is doing very well but is being played in the correct role not the ones the idiot ETH assigned him to.

Decisions are made to sell but they are only right if we improve our position and under Ole and ETH there were some terrible decisions made.

We lack a keeper, just look what Ole did with Henderson, look the story up, shambles. He just got MOM and the FA Cup. We have a bumbling idiot in goal that cost 47m.

We have made so many mistakes in the last few years, amateur bunch of decision makers and clowns as managers . How we have non scoring forwards and expect to win games has been a classic, clown in goal donkeys up front.

24 May 2025 08:28:45
Mac should have stayed, sold for Ugarte. but he is happier now and I'm delighted for him.

24 May 2025 08:42:43
Fair point Bolger. I find it a bit mad that so many are going on to do well for their respective clubs.

24 May 2025 09:22:01
Yes I can’t make it in my lads school football team but I’m a beast at walking football.

24 May 2025 09:31:43
Lukaku was a tremendous goal scorer Ole wanted to go with a quicker front line tho for the counter attacking i was gutted when the big man left same with Mctom was a square peg in a round hole isn't a holding midfielder that's what UTD used him as was always a box to box player flourishing now at Napoli same as he does for Scotland playing in his proper position.

24 May 2025 10:15:40
Red man, you are something else. When you have the bit between your teeth, nothing or no one else is right.

Bruno - Sell him
ETH - Clown
Amorim - Great coach with a vision

Bruno Fernandes to this club in 288 games as a midfielder has scored 98 goals and assisted 86 more. In this season alone, possibly the worst of all time, he has dragged us through games, scoring 19 goals and assisting another 19. Sure he has a poor game the other day, but our coach put him deeper sacrificing Ugarte and he played poorly. But others around him can step up and have a good game, it can't always be on Bruno.

That Clown ETH, actually played McTominay in his correct position, scoring 10 goals that season and his contributions being directly responsible for 15 points. And it is now the position where Conte plays him too, do you even watch Napoli games?

RA - Your saviour, the Great coach, the highly Non flexible visionary, with great determination (Finally the club have one, you say, not a clown like ETH, with his 2 trophies in 2 years) no, Amorim, with 6 wins, 6 draws and 14 losses. 4 of those wins against relegated sides. A win percentage of 23% percent, .92 points per game. He has oversaw a campaign where this will be our worst league campaign of all time aside from our relegation of 73/ 74.

You don't half talk some drivel when you think a certain way.

24 May 2025 10:27:17
I surprisingly agree with all of that redman. Everything we have done in recent past to strengthen the team has weakened it.

24 May 2025 10:56:07
McTominay used to get dog's abuse on here, but now it was the manager's fault all along?
Lovely lad, great attitude, but I can't remember any campaign on here not to sell him.
Some revisionism goes on here.

I express my opinion on here just like everyone else. We don’t agree but hey that’s the way things are in life. Some people must think the Government are great as well. If it’s ok with you I will just sum up my opinion?

It’s time to sell Bruno for £100m, because he is near 31 isn’t a leader and didn’t lead the team in the key game and £100m is a fantastic amount for a 31 year old.

McT didn’t perform as he is now but was not played in the same role here and was sold under ETH. He was not one that I was upset about going but would have been a good squad player.

I get you don’t like RA, fine. I want him to be given time to sort the utter mess.

Oh and I want a benevolent owner to buy the club and pay off the debts

Is it ok if that is my opinion being posted on a banter site?

Just on McTominay,

McT himself insisted “he could have been better used by his managers, accusing them of 'misprofiling' him.
Rather than being deployed in the box-to-box role that has brought him success at Napoli, the Scottish star was predominantly used as a defensive midfielder, or No 6, during his time at Manchester United, occasionally even being asked to fill in at centre-back. ”.

24 May 2025 12:17:58
It's not about liking are not liking Amorim red man.

But when YOU believe in something it's that or nothing else. McT was literally played the same way here in his last season under a so called clown (ETH is far from a clown by the way) and McT plays the same in Serie A. Like I asked, do you not watch Napoli?

With Bruno, you have been on this bandwagon for years yet he is the only top performer at this club, the only real leader despite his poor performance in the final. why couldn't anyone else stand up for once? Forever reliant upon Bruno.

On RA, I like him, he's a fine coach just as Eth was before him. But you ignore the absolute incredibly bad job he has done up to this point and load it with excuses, blaming everyone else but the man in charge of footballing matters.

Have an opinion, but you shove it down everyone else's neck.

24 May 2025 12:54:13
Redman did he name check ETH in there. Because I'm struggling to remember when Ten Hag ever deployed him at CB.

Again, he scored 10 goals in his last season under ten hag, his goals responsible for 15 points. He didn't do that from CB or a no.6 position where managers prior to ETH had played him.

When he has spoken of ETH, it has been nothing but positive and respectful.

So I'm not really sure the point of your words above other than trying to use them to fit into your narrative? ?.

24 May 2025 13:03:19
Don’t agree with much you say Angel, but I do the above 100% people getting derogatory because a differing opinion is absolute lunacy…. But hey ho, then have the audacity to say it’s a banter site!

24 May 2025 17:47:18
Remind you of anyone German?

Did ETH sell Mc T and was ETH sacked? Yes, so ETH wasn’t the answer. For me ETH was brought in to replicate the Ajax system but then instead of sticking to his principles tried to just work with what he had. The reason I want to give RA time is that he has stuck to what he believes, he has not been deflected by short term gain, unlike ETH.

As I have for 15 plus years I just express an opinion, agree don’t agree up to you, no agendas, no narrative or games, no shoving it anywhere.

25 May 2025 15:24:38
ETH didn't work with what he had Red Man the signed half the Ajax squad what you seen was TH ball absolute chaos with no midfield hoping for a counter he didn't abandon principals was a poor coach the Prems to big for him same as it may prove to be for Amo no matter how low you set tge bar for him or excuses made see bu Oct/ Nov i'd say still gash he's sacked 100 per cent.

26 May 2025 12:04:41
Is Ten Hag not on record as saying he did'nt want McTominay to leave?
