With all the debate about Amorim and how poor we've been, I think the bottom line is, whether we win the Europa or not he's here next season. In his own words, if next season starts as bad and there is no improvement then he'll either walk or get sacked.
He's put it to the board in his last press conference that they need to be brave this summer. To me that's him asking to be backed fully.
Personally, I don't see his style working in the PL. We're sitting just above the relegation places, losing week after week. It's not a good look regardless of our European jaunt.
I would love to be proved wrong and for Amorim to show us his real talent as a manager but as yet I've seen nothing.

As I've said before, we do not have a CF who scores goals, nor do we have a good enough GK all of which would make a huge difference. How many times has Garnacho blasted the ball over or failed to play a simple pass. This is just the hangover from EtH. The Utd job isn't an easy one. Having Rashford sulk like a teenager didn't help.
The problem that the club has, is that the players that have been brought have been poor, whilst being paid vast amounts of money. We are where we deserve to be.

Let’s face the truth. It’s highly likely he will be gone by Xmas.
The team has been awful since he took charge. Some luck and individual moments have got him the few league wins he’s managed so far.
Due to finances it’s not looking promising for a lot of new players in the summer. Even if he manages to get 4 or so of his players in, it would be some turnaround to go from relegation form to top 8 form. And that assumes the other teams don’t improve, which they likely will.
The facts are he’s not managed to get the players performing, and ultimately that’s his job. Doesn’t help himself with the stubbornness of never changing formations and some of his team selections.
And if you’re honest with yourself, there’s a huge amount of luck involved in the europa league to get him to the final. Nobody can be surprised if spurs easily turn us over in the final, as they have done in the previous 3 games this season.

I think the notion that we've played better in Europe is nonsense. We may be undefeated but the opposition has been weak. Spurs will be by far the best side we've faced IMO. In Prem terms, we are a poor side. We have one outstanding player who divides the fan-base. I can imagine his critics scowling at this notion but I believe many top sides would take Fernandes, We've got maybe a handful of very good younger players like Mainoo, Garnacho and Yoro who'd most probably thrive elsewhere away from the spotlight. Even a few months ago to label ourselves as a mid-table side was hard to stomach. But the table doesn't lie, and we deserve to be where we are. Two places above the relegated sides, along with our next European opponents. It doesn't sound right at all, but years of chop-changing without getting the right manager or signings from both clubs has put us where we are, while 'smaller' clubs around us have risen to the challenge with plans and more suitable managers and incredible below-the-radar signings that we seem unable to unearth ourselves. It has to be said that the same personnel would most likely fail under the spotlight of our club. The shirt hangs heavy.
And yet, we have this incredible chance to win something next week that will have a massive impact on our direction in the coming seasons. Even though Spurs have already done us over more than once this season, I think Maddison's absense tips it in our favour.
I don't expect the whole thing to suddenly just click once a few of the round holes are filled with round pegs, but even a couple of strong signings who tick all the boxes will have a big impact. Fingers (and everything else) crossed for next week, because if it gets any worse I genuinly don't know the answers. If there is any danger at all of him leaving, it has to be before they once again fork out £400m on new players then realise it's still not working. Every signing has to be nailed on.

MH, 40 games later, still blaming ETH.
12 May 2025 15:14:15
Hojland missed 2 sitters yesterday that the likes of Kane, salah, even Watkins or a Vardy score
You can’t win games with the forwards we have they are crap.
And then when you have linder and maguire at the back and 2 keepers that let’s face it are just as bad as each other we are always going to concede.

It was all Ole's fault, now it's ETH's fault.

It is ETHs fault he was the driving force behind this open hesrt surgery rebuild which now needs burnt and rebuilt again him who thought gash like Martinez Hoijlund Onana etc could cut it in the big leagues cheers for the FA Cup but mans legacy was the worst rebuild iv ever seen at a football club perhaps setting the club on a downward spiral it might never recover from guys was a fraud and a crook lined his brothers agency pockets left us with a europa league ervedise squad . If Amo fails a fair bit of that's THs fault Amo might be gash but didn't have much to build on no decent forward awful keeper pensioners in midfield defenders that turn slower than an oil tanker.
